we did occur?

Kelly, the standard evolutionary interpretation is that humans (nor indeed any living organism) were not preordained or somehow planned for.
That is, since natural selection takes place through random changes, we are indeed just lucky to be here.

You again as I have pointed out to you before, seek to prove your beliefs are correct. You accused me of doing what everyone does, and you deny that you too are just as guilty as everyone else.

We do not seek to prove our beliefs. We seek to explain our discoveries to others. We did not start with a theory and look for evidence to fit, we started with the evidence then looked for an explanation. We believe that we have found the most parsimonious explanation and admit that in the range of unparsimonious explanations the Flying spaghetti monster has not been entirely ruled out.

I gathered that, and that is what you go about attempting to prove
now isn't it, or better said claiming that the universe does prove what
you think is true, which is no different than my saying I believe
otherwise accept we are looking at the universe from different points
of view. For the most part as far as I’m concern it really does not
matter what side of this discussion we find ourselves in, which ever
side we are on we are looking for ways to prove our points of view.

Come now, I have had people claim I am wrong about my views on
the universe, you do not think those I've been debating are not
pushing a side of some discussion, using whatever they can think
of to prove their point? Heck, Scott told a story once about him being
in a discussion outside of his class, had one of his students say
something he disagreed with so Scott gathered up info for this student
to show them they were wrong, I do not know if he did it in front of
the his class or not, but there you go. It is a matter of points of view
you delude yourself to think otherwise. Parts of this discussion are
borderline doctrine and dogma, and I’m not speaking of those that
have to do with God.

So where do Neanderthals fit in?

Have you considered the hypothesis that this man made in god's image, man is alone in having a soul, etc. - isn't just a form of arrogance or egotism?

I recall a saying that was in an old American Western whose name
I forget, but it went, "No brag, just fact" we either are or you are right.

Come on Kelly, it's fact v. fiction.

What about those Neanderthals?

Sorry, I've looked at these creationist "scientific" sites before.

To start with, they amuse but rapidly become a bore.

I saw a bone and called if Fred, it is proof, I saw a fossil and called
George it is proof. You want something to be true, so you go looking
for excuses to believe. It is the way it is, what about the Neanderthals?
