Most people read it and nod their head and say Ahh.. that explains it!
But if you actually think about it, it would take a good deal of theological study and the answering of a good deal more questions before the story of Adam and Eve actually explains anything. I personally have never been able to fathom it.
But I guess this is the wrong thread for that....
It's a vast field of study, yes.

Cancer can occur in all life forms - not just us.
What is God trying to tell a fruit fly by giving it faulty genetics, for instance?

to how you define evoution, if you think it is small changes, no one
will debate that, if you think it is changes over time taking a some
what simple life form to the variety of complex ones we see today,
that is faith not science. As a faith it is just another other thing
people argue over.

kelly...though you have a very good point at the beginning, i think you streered at the wrong side of the road when you said that the theory of evolution as faith...because its definitely science.

ammanion sweety...lets just say there are lots of people who trouble themselves with things that can be answered through common sense. they start messing their own minds by creating a question and instead of answering it with the things laid out by faith complicates it more by comming up with a new question and a whole series of "why's and how's" starts to emerge. these people are later on called scientists and their questions infect earthlings like a plague! now...dont let yourself be infected... 🙂

Damn scientists, always asking questions. Don't get me wrong, I think science has its place, but I also think that it creates as many problems as it solves.

Too late, I'm not only infected, I'm a carrier.
And I infect a new batch of people every year - probably about 50 or 60 of them - who all become carriers.
We will inherit the Earth!

Yes, this question asking thing really does need to be done away with doesn't it. I'd really much rather just be told what to do all the time.

P.S. Science doesn't create anything, good or bad. People do.

Sorry, SCIENTISTS create as many problems as they solve. I never said 'do away with science', only that it is not the be-all and end-all of the universe. By the way, scientists tell people what to do just as often as anyone else.

guys, God made this earth. IN evolution there is a lot of things where what people believe is what scientist "think". You really think that one little bacteria started and made this perfect world. How and where did this little bacteria come from. see these are some of the empty holes in evolution

Nor have I ever claimed science to be such.
Science is just a thing we do. No more no less. Everyone tells everyone else what to do.
I tell people what to do.
My kids tell me what to do.
So what?
I'm merely suggesting that asking questions is central to what makes humans humans. Not asking questions would be like ... not breathing.
Fatal.

Thanks for your insightful analysis.
We can all rest easy now.
Good work.

I agree. All I am saying is that some people fall into the trap of believing that scientists are the only people asking questions and that the scientific method is the only way to find answers, which is far from true.

Now I understand what everyone has been saying about this thread going round in circles. 🙂

Definitely.
And the 'true believers' of the scientific process often come across as dogmatic and fundamental as religious fanatics.
We all need a dose of moderation in our lives I think.
