Note: Richard Dawkins asserts that teaching the doctrine of Hell is 'child abuse' and though I'm not so sure I'd go so far as to say I agree with him (on the strength of the charge); his justification is clear - implanting within the mind of a young child they will literally burn for eternity if they don't subscribe to some variant of Christianity is pretty horrific.

Every person is an eternal spiritual being, and when this life is over, there is another birth and life, so having this correct understanding, lends it self to having a care free and happy life in knowing this.
But if we are just random accidents, coming from apes, without cause or purpose, this understanding lends itself to a unhappy hopeless existance, and that would be accepted as mental and emotional abuse. vishva

For example, are there any surveys showing that atheist children are generally less happy than vishvahetu followers? Do you have any followers?
I have been atheist since the age of about 12, and I certainly do not remember being unhappy, or hopeless as a result.

Children dont think about god or evolution, there too busy playing marbles and eating ice-cream, and its when they get older that that they develope an uneasiness about their monkey origons.
And there really is no such thing as an atheist, because a pure thoroughbred atheist, would have their proof that there is no god, and they dont have proof so their really agnostic.
How do you feel about that, you are not an true blue atheist, until you have firmly proved the non existence of god, so good morning Mr agnostic how are you.
