Only one scientist called it that and the media ran with it.

Suddenly they believe in a particle. ๐Ÿ˜•

why? because its effects can be seen, yet it itself is elusive.

Well then, why not worship radio waves?

Some don't believe in the C-14 isotope, because it is used to establish timescales that disproves a young earth. And now they believe in a particle they like to call the 'god particle'. Why? Because it is as stable as god?

I wouldn't care if they called it peanut butter. Wouldn't affect me either way.

And he's Jewish anyway; so the answer would be a question. ๐Ÿ™‚

Their only other options were the "Darwin Particle" or the "sonhouse particle".

Sorry, it just does not have the same appeal. :'(

He is thinking about changing some other secular scientific terms as well. Here is a list.

1. Jehova's selection
2. Davidic descent and modification.
3. Abrahamic inheritance of acquired characteristics
4. Solomons niches.

It does not really disprove a young earth because they apply it in the
wrong way because of their world view. They have insufficient
information and must make assumptions. To ASSUME makes an
ASS out of U and ME.

Apparently they have not found it at the energy levels and where they thought this particle should be.

If they are applying C14 in the wrong way, then I agree with you. However they don't. Those who says otherwise are just afraid of the inplications or don't understand the C14-theory. Let's call the C14 isotope the 'Darwin particle' in the future.

Suppose the discovery of the Higgs particle, the so called god particle, can be used to prove the true age of the universe, then its very existance would be denied by YECs.

its use is more inporant than the name. will it be a killer or a cure
