I personally think its going over the top to say that "men's prayers are a disease of the will". It may be true on some level but I wouldn't go there. For it could be argued that some people think prayer relieves disease.

That religion suppresses conscience is also moot, for what about those persons who through the exercise of their conscience refuse military service?
