Actually I would say that God has hardwired mans desires for women into their DNA. God is aware of what he did. Man cannot control that desire and if he could then the high population growth [which God wanted] would not exist. Certainly some men have more self control than others.

This is the reason in my opinion that Jesus did not go around condemning people for sexual offences which Im sure are petty when compared to more serious ones. Woman caught in adultery, another with several husbands. Christ said nothing to seriously condemn them but simply said to go and sin no more.

Pharisees whose offences were pride, lack of love for neighbours, misinterpreting the law .. etc, were more serious than peoples sexual desire.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
    (Galatians 5:22-23 KJV)

is it how backward misogynistic churches are trying to reform how they perceive women?

Self control is a desirable trait for sure. But where does one place it on a scale in relation to other more serious offences.

What about that nice Leviticus verse that says a woman is worth 30 Sheckels and a man is worth 50? Sort of spells it out right there.

I have seen you make this comment over and over, but it makes no sense. If you had to hire someone to work would you place the same value on their labour?

i don't allow children to be leaders because they are not qualified to be. am i a bigot because i won't allow an IQ 60 person to handle my bank accounts?

are you saying not allowing a woman to teach in church is the same as not allowing a child to teach?

bottom line is: if you have a man and a woman both equally prepared to teach god's word or do any other task, and you always choose the man, you are mysoginistic and backwards.

Because that verse puts it in stone and goes WAY beyond simple labor abilities.

They use verses like that to rationalize the degradation of women.

Look at all these religions that don't even allow women to be in the same room as men in a synagogue or church or Mosque?

You think that is just incidental? A frigging COINCIDENCE?

Lev 27 places a rough value on all types of labour which the priests hire to live/work in the temple - men, women, children, babies, animals. The final value is up to the priests themselves if they prefer to change it.

Your claim that this is the root cause of all discrimination in the world against women is bull.

However, Christianity is different than the other religions.
