3.) Freedom of the press

4.) Freedom of religion

Its simple.
Just think in the same terms as you would for:

[2] A law banning civil unions between homosexuals

[3] A law banning interracial marriage

[4] A law making adultery and extra-marital sex illegal

[5] A law making blasphemous speech or writing illegal

I was clear about what I meant. You are not being clear. I used the terms "banning" and "make illegal". You have not been clear what you mean by "to legislate".

Sorry to say this a bit over my head, since you're dealing with spiritual, criminal, and civil laws. Crossovers of this kind can get pretty complicated. Very interesting question though.

I suggest you keep questioning the veracity, inerrancy, immutability and reliability of the word of God, and toss out the books you don't believe belong in the canon of scripture until you're satisfied with God's explanations.
