    No it isn't

Great win for England tonight. Denied a blatant penalty, very cynical defending, but our talisman struck twice .

Win the next and we are in the last 16.

Erm, great (?) win, not sure about that, a good win, a necessary win maybe, but great is going too far.

We certainly deserved the win, with penalty decisions going against us at each turn, and the first 20 minutes could have had us 4 or 5 nil up.

But there's the issue, our last touches were poor, and we've no one in the centre of the park to dominate. No Beckham, or Gerrard, for the modern era.

Kane did a passable impression of Linekar from yesteryear, with his killer 5 yard finishes.

Let's hope for a riotous smashing in the next game, before a huge match against the 3rd best team in the world.

Should have had at least 2 penalties for wrestling tackles on Kane.

    4-1 looks very nice

Plus a little more clinical finishing would have boosted that

Needed a stronger referee against their cynical spoiling tactics

Happy with our calmness at the end, expecting rather than hoping

Ps not too sure Beckham ever dominated from centre midfield. Gerrard always played too many 'miracle passes for me. Think this team needs a Paul Ince. Very underrated

Michael Carrick is the most underrated English centre midfielder.

Sadly enough the English themselves coined the "Association Football" term, americanized: Soccer...

The whole world knows what football is ... except USA.

Seems like a metaphor for world diplomacy right now.
