According to an article in my local paper:
Garcia got a letter, not a phone call, informing him that the team wouldn't be negotiating with him and that they were pursuing a contract extension with A.J. Feeley.
WTF??? He was flavor of the month at the end of last season, now Eagle management thinks A.J. Feeley is a better QB? Philly fans you know I luv ya; what's going on here?

Originally posted by MoneyManMikeWord has it that he may go to the Raiders. I think that would be a good fit with Randy Moss and Jerry Porter. The Ravens should take Garcia, and pass up on Jamarcus Russel in the draft but instead draft an offensive lineman. Their O-line sucks.
McNabb is going to be the starter next year anyways. Garcia is going to try to finish his career somewhere else as a starter. I hope he is successful, he is one of my favorite QBs.
Originally posted by no1marauderJust another cheap and stupid move by the Eagles. Trust me, we are all hoping McNabb is 100% by the season. Garcia said it hit him like a ton of bricks. They rely so much on youth and draft picks, they want to make themselves look like genuises. They will still be good though.

My Vikes would love to have Garcia.

Originally posted by no1marauderDoesn't make much sense, does it? Saw an interview with Garcia on ESPN today (March 2nd) and it did sound like he would probably join Raiders. I wish the Lions would pick him up.

Prediction. If Garcia is the starting quaterback for the entire season for either the Raiders or the Vikes neither team will make the playoffs. I realize Garcia had a nice end to last season, but he's old, not as mobile as he used to be, and has a weak arm, and if he had to play 16 games in the nfl you better hope you got a good back up backing up the good back up who starts for your crappy team. Garcia is not a quick fix. He's a good back up if he is backing up a west coast system. The raiders is a terrible fit. Garcia can't through deep. Hmm, moss loves running deep, porter runs deep, they both run too deep for garcia to reach them. if the raiders do this it will just be another list of bad moves made by the raiders. the vikes may be a better fit but Garcia can't hold up the length of an nfl season. He is being over-rated based on what he did the last part of the season by the people on here. Let's talk about Tom Brady or something. Ha.
Originally posted by wpq3I agree with you about the Vikes. However do you really think Tavarvis Jackson is ready to take over as the #1 guy? I think they need another year (or at least half of one if they are lucky enough to get Brady Quinn in the draft) to groom their starting qb.

How about they swap #1 with Atlanta to get Schaub?
Originally posted by badmoonI'd be happy with one of them (though Schaub gets a slight nod over Carr).

Whats up with Tampa? I just saw what they did acquiring two vetran starters: Plumber (who retired rather than play for them) and Garcia.
