schweinsteiger (germany) x5 Great choices there.
Has to be David Villa for me. Important goals at important times.
I liked Forlan's contribution, crucial goals for a small nation such as Uruguay

I liked Forlan's contribution, crucial goals for a small nation such as Uruguay you could make a good case for all 5 but muller was the only one to miss a match and without germany wasn't an attacking threat against spain who although have only conceded 2 goals so far haven't faced any decent attacking side yet. wouldn’t been a different match had muller been playing...

teams are made by assembling a group of players who are each outstanding at their individual position.

schweinsteiger (germany) Add a goalkeeper and a defender to the list. I think there are candidates out there. Friedrich, for example.
From that list I think Schweinsteiger might be the best, but he hasn't done anything better than Xavi.

schweinsteiger (germany) All you name were brilliant. However, my pick would be Klose (Germany).
