you could make a good case for all 5 but muller was the only one to miss a match and without germany wasn't an attacking threat against spain who although have only conceded 2 goals so far haven't faced any decent attacking side yet. wouldn’t been a different match had muller been playing...

Add a goalkeeper and a defender to the list. I think there are candidates out there. Friedrich, for example.

From that list I think Schweinsteiger might be the best, but he hasn't done anything better than Xavi.

i didn't say it was easy... muller scored the same amount as klose but set up 3 more. we all saw how poor germany's attack was without him. and you're trying to tell me klose was better? not a chance.
