the way i see it there's 5 candidates.
forlan (uruguay)
villa (spain)
sneijder (holland)
muller (germany)
schweinsteiger (germany)
Has to be David Villa for me. Important goals at important times.
I liked Forlan's contribution, crucial goals for a small nation such as Uruguay
Originally posted by Virtue76you could make a good case for all 5 but muller was the only one to miss a match and without germany wasn't an attacking threat against spain who although have only conceded 2 goals so far haven't faced any decent attacking side yet. wouldn’t been a different match had muller been playing...

Originally posted by trev33Add a goalkeeper and a defender to the list. I think there are candidates out there. Friedrich, for example.

From that list I think Schweinsteiger might be the best, but he hasn't done anything better than Xavi.

Originally posted by MacSwaini didn't say it was easy... muller scored the same amount as klose but set up 3 more. we all saw how poor germany's attack was without him. and you're trying to tell me klose was better? not a chance.
Tap in master is it? If it's so easy why isn't everyone doing it?
