Babe Ruth. One season he out homered the tigers and red sox combined. Not to mention anouth year is his career he threw over 320 innings, had a 1.75 ERA and hit more homers than he gave up.

Anyone else here remember Dave Kingman's "moon shots"? The man could really put some "juice" in the ball (pun intended). Trouble was if he didn't connect he'd strike out. I think he lead the league in home runs and strike outs!!

Funny, everyone's forgotten Ty Cobb. Early Century Detroit Tigers. He was a bad boy, held the hitting title along with the stolen base title until the 1960's. He was known for putting the shortstop and the 2nd baseman in the hospital.
I believe his lifetime average was .394, but not sure.
