The Spaniards have something of a tradition of failing to perform at the world cup.

The Confederations Cup is not a Major "Toruney" at all. Spare us your blatant ignorance. As Robbie Carrobie said, the Swiss got lucky. Very very, lottery winning kind of lucky. You won't see this sort of thing happen again any time soon with a brilliant team like Spain.

Do you have tickets for any match? Should be awesome. And you Crowley?

The Swiss goal was definitely against the run of play but they defended well. Spain's build up play was great but their finishing was awful.

For those that refuse to believe Spain are candidates, this goal:

Just can't get enough of watching that one, great goal. I didn't see this game but judging by the stats the swiss got very lucky.

I wanted to take my wife for the Portugal vs Brazil game in Durbs, but it worked out a little expensive.

Watching Chile vs. Spain game next week. Based on what I've seen, it should be a decent game, as both may well be playing for a spot i the last 16.

the swiss were lucky to win but spain lacked something they usually have and are in real danger of not making the lst 16 now. i feel bad for chile, a win today and aganist the swiss should've been enough ease into the second round now i wouldn't be shocked to see 3 teams on 6 points at the end of the group.

Bafana probably out of the world cup. :'(

We'll have to play out of our skins against France. Here's hoping for a draw tomorrow against Mexico.

It's not great if the hosts get eliminated too quickly.

They lacked goals...usually they score plenty of goals.

that goal was akin to a piece of art, infact, ive seen worse exhibits at art school degree shows where its hard to tell the students have actually studied for four of five years!
