Terrible refereeing. Was 2nd goal offside? I didn't see it.
There were hands two times at the second goal. I don't think it was offside though.

The sending off was completely wrong and I'm sure Brazil will protest it and have it overturned. Running into Kaka does not mean that Kaka should be sent off.

It's funny how people have lost all sense of proportion when it comes to diving, as if violent conduct was preferable. Brazil's players were playing the game normally until IC started with the killer tackles (one of which injured Elano).

Was it your post that started off with:

"look at the tulip lay on the grass hands on his face rolling around like he was bunched in the face by tyson after a little nudge on the chest. poor form, i'd ban him the that." ?

I gave up on that one.

They should have that second yellow overturned as a matter of principle. Imagine if that sort of behaviour became the norm, and players just ran into stationary players and claimed fouls. That shouldn't be allowed and when it is accidentally penalised it should be overturned and shut down immediately.

Also, even if you're a godly team like Brazil, you'd still want Kaka playing your next game if it were against a tricky side like Portugal.

how will 'principle' look when after they get the yellow overturned (which i'm 100% sure they won't), kaka gets a yellow in the semi and is suspended for the final?

think about it, suspended for the portugal game that doesn't matter (they might even be better off losing it depending on what spain does) or play the last 16, quarterfinals and semis being one card away from missing the next round?

I agree a bit with both of you. Brazil will do a token effort to overturn it so that the player feels supported, FIFA will uphold the one match ban and Brazil won't appeal.

Or so my crystal ball tells me...

God, it was hard to watch those pansy-assed footballers get all up in each other's grills all manly-like.
They should stick to diving around and writhing in pain.

It was disgusting acting, but Kaka should have dodged that incident and he wasn't surprised at all when the referee showed him that card. It's not a big deal to him, he'll be back for the knockouts with a clean slate.

FIFA won't overturn that yellow card, they hardly ever overturn a call made on the field--even if a blind monkey can see on the replay that it was a crap call. They might fine the Ivory Coast player for unsportsmanlike conduct but don't hold your breath in these matters.

Of course he wasn't surprised, anybody with half a brain could see it coming after all the commotion.

Do you also think Fabiano didn't handle the ball because the Ivory Coast players didn't protest?

Brasil 3 x 1 Ivorian Jiu Jitsu

😠 😠 😠

Now, a draw against Portugal next Friday. Without Kaká and Elano.

BTW: Kaká don´t deserve to be in the Brazilian team.
Júlio Batista will play the rest of the Cup. It´s my hope.

Hi, trev! How do you do?

Kaká is thinking (?) in religion, trev.
Kaká has donated much money to Estevam and Sonia Hernandez, a couple of crooks who founded a church to trick gullible. That is why Kaka is not playing anything, so I don't think he deserves to be in the Brazilian team.
