2012 Championships

Last couple of years the tournament is up and taking entrants ready for january.Is there going to be one this year or is it being removed?

If you look at the discussions it seems pointless to continue tis, the titles are clouded by bannings and accusations.

Are you saying there isn't going to be a 2012 Championship?

Pretty poor that no reply from Russ or Chris as yet.

Then again Chris hasn't posted in forums since July 2011 and hasn't made any chess moves for over 53 days.

Russ has only posted once in forums since 23 November, that being a Christmas greeting and he hasn't made any chess moves for over 40 days.

No announcements since 2nd November.

Clans are getting worse, Leagues are getting worse, more and more members are not renewing subs.

Looks a bit like a sinking ship, so don't hold out any hope for a 2012 Championship!

the title still has not been given to the last 2 winners, seems a waste of time to have another

Thanks guys for the replies and it is a shame that no replies and RHP maybe dying as you said shame.

You seem to know more than most about the workings of RHP. On the other hand I would like to believe that you might just be pessimistic because of Russ' silence - justifiable for reasons unknown to us.

Perhaps our Master Blogger, who undoubtedly has Russ' sympathetic ear, might be able to clarify what, if anything, is going on.

I know nothing more than anyone else. All info is easy to find if you look.

C'mon guys - grow up!! The site is going strong!! The average player is very happy with the site. Just cos a few punters aren't happy about the Annual tournament doesn't mean there are problems with the site.

so the average player is happy here, with what exactly? blatant engine users being allowed to play on and on, the clan system thats a joke, thumbs up and down thats just a popularity contest nowadays, or the deafening silence from russ when a member comes up with a good idea (see leurs in site idea) wish i could be like you= easily satisfied, happy new year 🙂
