A new thematic tournament is presented Tournament 3562: King's Gambit Accepted (1.e4 e5 2. f4 exf4 3. Nf3)

I would like very much participate this tournament, but there is a problem, a big one: The PGN files from the tournament will not be correct. So I would have to spend a lot of time to edit the PGN so it is insertable into my game database.

As an example of another thematic tournament i present this PGN (game in progress):

[White "DawgHaus"]
[Black "Lenc"]
[WhiteRating "2221"]
[BlackRating "1568"]
[Result "*"]
[GameId "4704133"]

1. Nd4b5 a6 2. Nb5d6 Bf8xd6 3. Qd1xd6 Nc6d4 4. Qd6xe5 Nd4e6 5. Bf1d3 O-O
6. Bc1d2 d6 7. Qe5g3 Ne6c5 8. O-O Nc5xd3 9. Qg3xd3 Qd8b6 10. Ra1b1 Bc8d7
11. Bd2f4 Rf8e8 12. Bf4xd6 Ra8d8 13. e5 Nf6g4 14. Qd3g3 f6 15. Nc3d5 Qb6c6
16. Nd5e7 Re8xe7 17. Bd6xe7 Rd8e8 18. exf6 Ng4xf6 19. Be7xf6 Qc6xf6
20. Rf1e1 *

This game cannot be included in any database. No game can ever start with 1. Nd4b5, it's impossible. Why not include the first moves for completeness' sake?

So I have to pass this time - too. I envy all of you that don't bother over such a pettiness, but, still, the PGN is not correct and it demands a lot of manual labour to make it correct.

Sorry... have a nice time though, with a lot of nice games. I will follow all the games.

The starting FEN position needs to be added.

and you may have to add the following, although Chesspad and Fritz10 don't need it.
[SetUp "1"]

It would be easy to do this programmatically. In the meantime, if you are using FF, you can easily get the starting position FEN and manually add t

A starting FEN would make the PGN file be correct.
But what I really want is the starting moves inserted in the PGN move list. Then I really can use it in my move database.
In the KG case, why not insert 1.e4 e5 2. f4 exf4 3. Nf3 in front of the moves, and let the move numbers be ajusted to its correct ones?
