Group 1 features a 2019 player laying the smack down on a bunch of helpless 1100 players in an 0-1250 banded tourney. He's 769 points above the band. Can anyone top this? Can you find a tourney where the gap between the shark and his prey is even wider?

I actually requested a couple of months ago to be removed from this tournament, apologized for entering, and have no intention of playing the next round in this tournament. I should have started out playing in open tournaments, but in my haste to play a tournament (sole reason I joined this site), I joined the first open one I could find.
Your post made me laugh Big Dogg, I had no ill intentions when I entered that tourney, and a few of those games were tough as nails.

Look for a 'TRACKHEAD21'. There must be him joining a pre 1200 tournament too, somewhere. He just got timed out in quite some tournaments, I believe. Therefore he holds no title of a banded tournament on his name. But his intentions sure were to do so...

When the next round starts resign all of your games without making a move. No rating adjustment but you leave the tournament.

To be fair, Billy entered the tournament as a p1200 and when I asked him if he would be happy to remove himself at the beginning of the next round, he was very amicable and said that he would ask the admin to do it for him, and if not he would just resign his games before they became rated.
Had a good conversation with Taavo via PM shortly after this round started - think he'd rather be playing stronger calibre players and is willing to resign without it affecting his rating. Good to see he has done the same in another tournament.
Newcomers can easily end up in inappropriate bands, the worst by far are those who have a lot of experience on the site and have a good idea as to the most suitable levels.

Instead of focusing your energies on something negative like this, why don't you try to fix the problem by helping the admin in this thread...Thread 53165
We've all been complaining about banded tournies, here's our opportunity to fix it.

1) The thread you referenced is in "General", which I don't check often, as it's usually a morass of inanity.
2) I've participated in similar threads (usually in "Site Ideas", a much more appropriate forum), suggesting rating floors to prevent victims of mass-timeout from dropping too far below their true strength in rating. Seems that keeping provisionals out of banded tourneys is also a sensible idea.
3) This thread was mainly intended as humorous; I do have a somewhat dark sense of humor, though...
