In the second the white B goes to g2, no where else, in the Grob!
Not sure what opening people were trying to play. Round 2 will produce more interseting matches as players who have little idea are eliminated.

people want to learn in a fun way .... it seems the grob may be a fun quick way for weaker white players to lose to stronger opposition and get instant feedback - keeping both parties happy .... without being deluded by 28 moves of the sicilian copied from gms.
is it also a fun way for stronger white players to beat weaker black players?

As white (against the Caro Cann) W 1 D 1. The draw was lucky, I should have lost but managed to create a repetition.
I feel I have the advantage in the Grob as I have played it 100s of times already and about 20 times here but we will see.
