    THE crime.

Again, not ALL of alleged crimes of All cases. Obviously not my OP.
What's the crime in the so-called hush-money case? Falsifying financial records. Here's a summary from the indictment:

    1. violated FECA's restrictions on corporate and individual contributions.

    2. violated FECA through unlawful individual and corporate contributions by Cohen, Pecker, and AMI; and...by falsifying the records of other New York enterprises and mischaracterizing the nature of the repayment for tax purposes.

    3. violated New York tax law.

Would it be considering "interfering" if a candidate posted lies about a laptop being fake and claiming it was proven because he had signatures from 50 CIA/FBI agents saying so, even though he KNEW the laptop was real and belonged to his son?
Does hypocrisy negate the existence of a crime? Like no one is a criminal if both "sides" are equally guilty?

"The FBI defines terrorism, according to U.S. law, specifically 18 U.S.C., section 2331, which defines terrorism, both domestic and international, as any activity that is violent, or dangerous to human life, which violates federal or state law, and appears to be intended to: Intimidate or coerce a civilian population"

these campus >protestors< fit this definition
All protests can fit that description.
Which obviously undermines the use of it.

    Why only one?
Why don’t they settle in ANY of the EU countries?
How can they be “refugees” when they are coming from EU countries?
Why is the UK so much more attractive than EU countries that they risk their lives to get here?
Why should the UK take hundreds of thousands of illegal migrants whom the EU won’t take?

    Etc etc …
No. The Schengen agreement states that you can ask ayslum in 1 Schengen country. And if that’s rejected, you can can’t ask for asylum in another Schengen country.

So, these refugees ask for asylum in Europe (one of the Schengen countries), if the request is rejected (which happens on an individual basis and is therefore hard to say anything useful about) then the refugee has to return home or request asylum in a non-Schengen country.

If they’re coming to England via Europe, that’s probably what’s happening, don’t you think?

Large scale illegal immigration should be stopped dead in its tracts. I can understand a few people being persecuted and need to leave the country. Hundreds or thousands or millions ... NFW... Stop them. Send them back. Investige why this is happening. Offer some help. Eg there is a ruthless government maybe Islamic Extremists took over the country and killing nonMuslim ...[text shortened]... nd help set up a democratic government.

You cannot destroy your house and then come live in mine.
It’s not illegal immigration if a refugee is requesting asylum. It’s international law.

90% of the problems jn the Middle-East and Africa were created by the West interfering there. One doesn’t presume the answer is in even more interference, eh.

I'm with you mchill regarding these new fangled clocks. I get one of the kids
to set them at league matches etc and I have the instructions.
(you should be able to get a copy on the net )

The change in atmosphere at tournaments from the late 60's to early 2020's
(when I played) to today is very different.

In the olden days we would gather around a board in the ...[text shortened]... T.D. to organise,
they can do the draw at random because nobody can remember who they have played.
Speaking of the analysis room ...

I took part in the U.S. Open in Atlantic City during the Fischer-Spassky match. The two top seeds in the U.S. Open that year were Walter Browne (the ultimate victor) and Bent Larsen. After the day's games had finished in Atlantic City, Larsen would give a short presentation with commentary on whatever game was currently running in Iceland (moves relayed via fax). Browne would relax playing blitz backgammon with someone. The rest of the boards were full up with people analyzing and chattering away, often with four players playing blitz bug-house. Watching the good players analyze was an education in itself.

So there is a lot fine.

One thing I just saw was that you give the statistics for the clans. Only in my case there are all zeroes...

    @Earl-of-Trumps
So you think your god is above the law. Biden or Democrats have nothing to do with grand juries, they are ordinary people looking at evidence and shame on you for implying they are corrupt. The evidence is provided just like any other case and if anything, Trump has been given a golden glove treatment like on how the judge is treating his outrageous bursts of BS in his "Truth" Social and speaking to the crowd which just makes the base THINK his is getting screwed when in fact it is nothing of the kind, it is showing exactly how he did illegal things.
If you or I had the same charges the trial would have been over a lot faster and we would be in jail.

Mysterious to you with your lips firmly planted in Trump's ass, of course it would be to you since you clearly think Trump is literally above the law and fall for every POS word he pukes.

So it's ok for books, including the fukking DICTIONARY to be banned in Florida? Some libraries have no books at all now because of the incredibly stupid book banning in that terrible state.

On Sunday I considered baking crumpets, but made scones instead (my wife liked them with orange marmelade).

One of the problems with rape is that if there is no scarring or physical proof of it, it is notoriously hard to prove.

And “just believing women” is obviously not an option; just as just believing men can’t be an option either.
And in the case of man on woman rape, in a his word vs her word, one has to fall back on “Innocent until proven guilty”.

This, in turn, makes investing police resources (which need to score positive results) onto rape cases a low-return investment… which means that without a clear cut case, there’s little urgency to do a proper investigation.

And that’s the wider problem in a nutshell.

Now, what to do about it?

    HI moonbus

One thing I remember was two strong players going over a game. The most common
phrase was 'centralise' and 'centralise' and 'centralise'.... I was thinking big deal but
what are you threatening. (then I was at the stage you must be either threatening or
defending with every move....preferably threatening something.)

It took a while to sink in and even then I could not ignore my caveman approach but
at least now I knew why my attacks were getting knocked back. I ignored centalisation.
