@drewnogal saidYou did correct that, but trust me, supermarkets all over the world are still gagging to prove your original post right. And the cost argument has been bull all along, as proven by the fact that there are now self-serve counters in some US shops with a tip button. It's greed, pure greed.
Back on page two I corrected this as hadn’t fully explored the far end of the store where there are 4 manned checkout facilities. But reducing manpower now seems the way forward in the big stores too because of their need to compete and most people want cheaper food.
@sonhouse saidWell, be above that.
@Shallow-Blue
I was baiting the ultrarightwingnuts,
@sonhouse saidSay her name properly: the paedophile Margerie Taylor Greene.
@AverageJoe1
You really have problems with inference. Try this, Marge. Margerie Taylor Greene.
@sh76 saidOh, they do. And the European equivalents of the Republicans are not happy about it, either. Hence Brexit. Which, by the way, did nothing to stop illegal immigration from Africa to the UK, but did cause a lot of legal Polish workers to come back to Europe.
Of course, I understand why people from downtrodden countries dream of coming to the USA. I'm just wondering why they don't equally or alternatively dream of going to Europe or Canada.
@averagejoe1 saidWork has a goal: to make enough money be happy outside your work. But you said that to you, working is being happy. That is being a slave to your employer. I work to live; you live to work. I am an employee; you are a servant.
You suggest that a person who receives money for goods or services (libs say ‘work for) can not be happy?
You tip your hand saying work for. That, indeed, suggests you feel like a slave. Brrrr
@earl-of-trumps saidYeah, because building an AR-50 that does not blow up in your face is a great project to do with your 10-year-old.
If they banned guns *at this point*, people will make them in the basement and sell onto the black market.
@averagejoe1 saidYes, covfefe. And the man who owns property to the value of five billion cannot pay a 200 million bond, because... because.
Trump?
@very-rusty said...because gun nuts keep saying that no matter how many laws they make, people will have guns, and therefore there are no laws so nothing is done about the guns or the gun nuts.
It doesn't matter how many laws they make Guns will always be around and people will always get them.
@averagejoe1 saidYes, you lot still are slaves, aren't you? Always giving your lives to your masters, in the hope that one day you'll be the master yourself.
Happy to me, is, working.
@averagejoe1 saidWhat crimes, Joe? What crimes? Where is the proof? Where is the laptop? Where is the evidence?
The question is….do you think it just to absolve him of these crimes, or should the law prevail and he be tried?
Whew. McHill forbids you to opine, send me a PM.
@mott-the-hoople saidMore immigrants have been stopped under Biden in one year than under Trump in all four. So... the Republicans have been letting any and every Putin asset, such as Gaetz, MTG, Trump &al., straight into Congress, and you're fine with that.
which party is letting any and everyone into our country?
@sonhouse saidDon't be an idiot, and don't phrase your questions like Joey-boy. "Can anyone tell me why?" Yes. Of course we can. Stop playing for the peanut gallery.
Why is the republican party and specifically the magites in it, Jim Jordan, MTG, Gaetz and the rest of that crowd, now that their god king is in legal trouble for refusing to hand over TS docs, why are they now not interested in national security, for instance, what names have already been revealed to foreigners where those lives could be in direct danger and the like? Can anyone tell me why?
@shavixmir saidWhat makes you think they care? They've got their loot - apres les le deluge.
Or they are comprehending that short term gains (trump winning, if that happens & the popularity behind him) will have long term detremental effects for the US.
