I concur they are doing well. I helped him recruit a player and am in the process of finding another player for him in the rating range he is looking for. He knows what he is doing, just needs a few more players is all. The more competition the better for everyone is the way I see it. Look how far Michael has taken his Clan!!! It takes a lot of hard work, Michael is very fortunate where most Clan will play him, Metallica for example has many clans which will not play us.
One of the reasons I like Bish Idea of every clan playing every other clan, hard to accomplish with the different personalities for sure. Somehow Michael has accomplished that part of it which means he can get the most challenges which in turn ups the odds of finishing First over all come the end of 2026.

You are correct in my humble opinion. Metallica will put up a battle but just can't get the amount of challenges that Michael can get. He was smart to make friends with the majority of Clan leaders which helps significantly.

I still think the 800 or 1200 game Cup idea would have revitalized the Clan feature. I posted it last January/February in hope that with enough lead time the site might add a new idea.
Also Al's league idea has real merit. One league. Any clan can join or not. 5 player teams.

I could play U2000 for Luna, as a 1500 I am by definition U2000. But maybe I could find a draw as black somewhere and help my team with another 1/2 point.
My sense is that the clan feature just does not move the membership needle - so the programming time value is not there. Shame. There are the dedicated few hundred where the clan feature is one of the features that keeps us here.
Finally - I have seen real change in pairing attitudes with all clan leaders - this isn't the dark ages of a few years back. Maybe a truce can be called and new relationships can be formed.

Indeed everyone must be on the same page. There are still many Clans who will not play Metallica unfortunately. I have done my best to help a few clans with people. I don't like the 5 players. I think there should be 10, that is why amalgamating smaller clans would be a benefit and make the competition much stronger in my opinion.
Of course I only been here going on 20 years and been on several clans in the early days then in the last 17 years only on 2 Clans we already know them Metallica and Breaking Bad. I have played the majority of player on this site. It is very few times I will look at a profile and not have played that person. We do have a lot of good chess players that aren't even on Clans!!! I would love to see that change.

Can we stick to ideas and not where those ideas come from?

I would sooner the person voiced the opinion than thumb posts down. I saw nothing you said that would be reason to get thumbed down. I know I have people follow me around and thumb my posts down just because they can, which helps absolutely nothing. It never has and never will stop me from voicing my opinion. I think we close to being on the same page, but then I am not Clan Leader and have no desire to be one. I don't mind helping the Clan leader if they ask but no desire to take over a Clan.

A nice place to visit but best to take tour buses as the city is very congested with Traffic, unfortunately the city planners weren't thinking there would be all this traffic back in the 1900's. It also effected our Medicare which they are working on resolving. I believe cranes I've seen are at an all time high.

You don't have to inform me about the NHL. I have been watching it since the 6 teams do you remember that far back? My changes have been made some like and some not so much the speed and skill of hockey players have improve so much In the past 50 years for sure. Never Preach to a Canadian about how hockey works we Invented the game!!! 😉

The 6 team league did not allow Canadians to dominate, they did that be cause they had better players whether you want to admit it or not.
Also you can not make remarks about someone being old and all that, unless you are yourself. Check Site rules!!!

Uh, I think you're thinking of someone else. You were VERY ADAMANT about you knowing more about the players and who they should play than I did. You were INSISTENT about no changes.
