You say 6 to 4
Winner gets 12 loser gets 4?
Sorry but that does not add up.
There is 20 games involved say the score is 11 5 with four draws
How would the points be awarded?
I forgot to add in the bonus points
10 - 0 old system winner 20 loser - 20 my system winner 30 loser 0
9 - 1 old system winner 20 loser - 20 my system winner 27 loser 1
8 - 2 old system winner 20 loser - 20 my system winner 24 loser 2
7 - 3 old system winner 20 loser - 20 my system winner 21 loser 3
6 - 4 old system winner 20 loser - 20 my system winner 18 loser 4
5 - 5 old system 5 each my system no change
That's better

Well thought out idea
But I am still struggling to see how the losing clan gets points awarded you seem to be doing it by the challenge not how many games
If 10 v 10 it's 20+ or 20-
That's 20 games
You show a 9 to 1 example winner gets 27 loser get only 1?.surely loser would get 2 if the challenge was 9 to 1?

Be back after Wimbledon
Won't do any good with the football it's on ITV and we never score on that channel

I am confused about the tennis scoring system
Win 6-0 You get one set.
Win 6-4 You get one set.
Even win 7-6 on a tie break again the result is one set.
Surely that can't be fair.
The winner get the set no matter how many games the other play wins?
Remind you of a similar scoring system you hate so much.

Exactly you don't get 12 games and your opponent gets minus 12 games
So nothing like is it

Is that not what you want in the clan scoring system?
A player can win a game 6-4 6-4 0-6 0-6 6-4
Winning 18 games but losing 24 games.
How can that be fair?
Just like in the clan scoring system it's THE RULES...

but he still only wins 3 sets to two
your problem is you don't seem to be able to separate games from sets

Like games versus the overall challenge?
Finally see?
A clan challenge like tennis is the match individual games scores mean nothing separeatly just like in tennis

Oh I get the idea,Do you ?
It is that over time the clan games have got more important than the clan challenge
Which is what it should be based on
The only important thing is how do you distinguish between a small challenge and a large challenge
The only way is to give each challenge some sort of importance

We are playing an upside down points system
Challenges are based on available players within the 200 rating band it's up to captains to set what they can. Vast majority is 2 or 3 player challenges nowadays.
I fail to see what that has to do with how points are split.
The bigger the challenge the bigger the reward that's fair is it not?
