You'd change your mind if you actually came to one.

Liberal women are easier than conservative women, but even we draw the line at incel conservatives.

Hmmmmm, maybe on second thought I'll go down to Tucson to show solidarity with my Alpha Chi Omega sisters. I know some of them will be marching.
We don't like easy women.

Trash and all stretched out.

You just get back from your Lames United March?

@Suzianne said
Wait, didn't you used to be a conservative?

Maybe I'm confusing you with someone else.

But Alvernon to Country Club is a fair piece. I lived in Tucson for four years going to U of A. I love that town. Of course they had a protest, they're much more liberal than Phoenix.

Way back in the day (like when I was 6), I used to live in a duplex on 20th Street west of Swan. I hear that area is a dump now. 🙁
Not me. Always a socialist. We lived in Tucson (and Phoenix) in the 80's and 90's. My family is all still there.

I believe that as well. She would just carry on leading like Biden did, or whomever was leading, no one knows, OR, she would be doing her own thing. On the jet. We would have great prosperity.
Isn't it weird that we've accepted that trump tanked a good economy on purpose and there's nothing we can do about it?

You would be the perfect guy as a socialist to explain that this tariff situation will take time to thresh out. There are already 50 countries coming begging to Trump. I say you are perfect because socialists have been very patient waiting for many many years for something that frankly will never happen, but you are very patient.
So, convince these rabid lunatics that the tariff matter will take a bit of time and that they should be patient. I would appreciate that very much.
While I have you, tell me, when you encounter a group of socialists, do you sort of put your hand on your wallet?

I would be glad to have an honest discussion on all that. It's kind of the point of this forum I thought. Or was at one point, years ago maybe.

Now I think we have already gone past any chance to talk, discuss, and maybe change minds when it comes to this president. This president does not believe that truth has any value. Which is fine - it's not a criticism - it's a very effective campaign strategy. Worked twice. But there is a cost.

"There are already 50 countries coming begging to Trump."

Really? How can you possibly know that? Not by what the president and his team say. They have already made it clear that truth is not necessary when communicating with the citizenry. Maybe it's true. Maybe it is 40, or 53. But there is no way to know - that is the point.

If we are not going to work within reality and truth - it is hard to meet in the middle (or anywhere).

Not in America. I've never heard of a 'redundancy payment'. EDIT: Okay, I just looked it up and here we call it 'severance pay', and it is a minuscule amount, up to a year in salary, but that pales in comparison to a pension, which is usually for the life of the pensioner.

There are people I know personally who were a year or less from retirement who were just 'let go' ...[text shortened]... t lost their pensions with absolutely zero compensation. Corporations in America are brutal.
Wait, how does your pension system work? That shouldn't be possible. I can't talk for all of Europe but certainly in most of western Europe there's a government pension that you quality for by working in the country (or claiming benefits) but it's not so much. In the UK I think it's around $1000 per month at the moment for the maximum but it depends on how many years you accumulated, so can be less. Then there's a private pension that you can either contribute to yourself independently or usually through your employment. The pension will be with a separate firm and you can transfer in pensions from other firms if you've moved jobs and the company used a different pension provider. But it doesn't matter if you leave the job, get sacked or whatever, the pension is always there (unless the stock market completely collapses).

If you work for the government it's a bit different but you still don't lose the pension just for leaving the job.

my quick answer is that everyone in the administration has to tow the line with information, as you might imagine. With everything riding on this, they are hardly going to lie about it. They do not want to get caught in a lie, which would do nothing but gum up the works.
If for no other reason, this is why I think that when we were informed by the administration, that there are 50 countries, I do not think they would lie about that with everybody watching. And I mean they are watching.!

I bet you say this because most women you've been with have asked you, "Is it in yet?"

It ain't them, it's you.

Are you kidding?

Trump lies all the time and doesn't even care if he gets busted on it.

His minions never believe the truth anyways.

I wish any of this was true. Unfortunately when you say "I do not think they would lie about that with everybody watching. And I mean they are watching.!",

a lot of us just roll our eyes.

They don't care about the truth - it is not a relevant factor in decision making. Again it is not a criticism. This is their governing strategy. Maybe it will work.

I have not said anything against tariffs - what do I know - I am not a macro-economist. We will see. However I do know about telling the truth - and it's kind of a 1 or a 0.

Yes, maybe this time they are really telling the truth. However I don't know how anyone can believe that. How does anyone know what to believe when truth is not important. I support your right to believe what you want - I love this country.

However there is zero credibility when we quote the administration as a source of information. This is their choice - there are always choices and costs when you are trying to do something hard, like run a country.

Being the well informed guy you are - I think even you have to admit that. We can disagree on social policy, but still agree on the definition of honesty.

Ha. Trump has the most transparent of all presidents. Your post is deflated. The administration is indeed a source of information. His press conferences, with him, go on all the time. No naps!!!!! As honest as it gets. Get on the train!!!
The you roll your eyes, you say it could work, and you are not an economist. exactly. You left out that these things take longer than the 4 days that we have had so far.
You say maybe they are telling the truth. Geez man, what is this post of yours. Next you will cover us up with Links like Marauder does.

Trump does not lie all the time . Get Marauder to send a link proving that one.
Or, you send one. He sure hasn't lied about tariffs.

Maybe take a step back for a second.

There are a lot of people who are saying the unrequited love people have for Trump is really a cult - that cannot or will not see any other ideas as possibly valid. Won't even read or consider them as they would be able to in any other facets in their lives.

Now I know that it is not you - you are not a cult-member - so lets look at this together.

Trump made a speech saying the US was changing its policy on tariffs. If we all assume that he is doing what he thinks is best for the country - the speech could have and maybe should have been honest and forthcoming. Here is what we are doing and here is why.

Instead we got a litany of needless lies that added nothing to the announcement.

Here is a list of things he said that are not true. Your choice is to say he didn't really say them (we can roll the tape) or that it was OK to lie in these cases, at this announcement, because this is important and the end justifies the means. Those are really the only two choices.

This is what he said - you can re-watch it

The United States subsidizes Canada with $200 billion a year. (not true)
The United States “took in hundreds of billions of dollars” from China thanks to tariffs he imposed during his first term. (not true)
Tariffs had never before been collected on Chinese goods before he took office. (not true)
Canada “imposes a 250-300% tariff on many of our dairy products.” (not true)
The great Depression happened because U.S. officials moved away from tariffs. (not true)
The U.S. inflation rates during the Biden administration were “the highest” in “the history of our country.” (not true)
Joe Biden had “the worst approval ratings in the history of our country.” (not true)
The United States was “the wealthiest it has ever been” between 1789 and 1913. (not true)
Democrats want to cut benefits for Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid beneficiaries. (not true).

You can be both a supporter of our President and his administration, and also a thinking adult who knows the difference between telling the truth and telling a lie.

Up until this president - that has always been the case in this country.

Very thoughgtful and undoubtedly researched, you rival Marauder.
I guess I will take his and all other president's statements with grains of salt, they maybe say thingsto advance their agendas/??? Could that be it? Coud be,, but I am so satisfied with all of his agendas that I give a lot of rein when he is selling himself any way he can to get them all passed. Souinds crude,,,,,,,but hey, I can research what you write and find them to be lies. Let's say I do. Do you thus think that I should act on that, do something? Do what? Try to impeach him for those harmless lies?
But then Bish, how would we get his agendae passed? I want his agenda. You and Sonhouse, no offense, want to punish him...I think??
Hey did you buy amazon yesterday, how bout Nvidia? I even bought dollar tree, it is up 8% today. Or you can do the Sonhouse Tango with Trump. Too busy!
