@athousandyoung saidNot if they reduced spending, how's that for math.
And right now we have a progressive taxation system so a flat percentage would increase the tax burden on the middle class.
You should study more math.

@wajoma saidRunning a deficit and reducing revenue does not make sense even if you reduce spending you fanatic. Anyway the Republicans refuse to reduce spending - they're playing stupid psychology games where they want to force Dems to cut spending - but only on things the Republicans want - so they can blame the Democrats.

made above 30K. That 30K will mean less for the wealthy, but it is the same across the
board. As it stands now, those who write the laws cut themselves and others
sweetheart deals and exemptions, and those would go away, and everyone would be
required to pay their fair share.
The need for the IRS would be greatly reduced since the tax code would be
simplified in the extreme.
@jj-adams saidIn the Netherlands you pay 25 euro’s for 3 litres of petrol.
I hate to think what Diesel costs.
Wonder how much a trucker pays for a full tank?
Ya reckon that will filter down to what we pay for the stuff being hauled?
Inflation is just getting started.
Gee I wish Biden hadn't shut down all the production and pipelines and such. What a dick.

Tell me, did you vote for the lying, draft dodger, TRUMP, as well?

I was a Republican. Why don't more conservatives see this? The GOP have never and will never demonstrate a limited government approach. Dodge, weave, deflect, blame.
Vote them out!

There’s 3.7 litres to a gallon.
And it’s about 2,3 euro’s a litre.
@shavixmir saidIs there a lack of refining capacity in your country too or is the higher cost due to taxes? I heard European countries tend to have higher fuel taxes than the USA.

@metal-brain saidI would presume it’s taxes. Cars, petrol, road tax… to the max over here.

Infrastructure is bloody amazing though.
