It's far from over but right now, I think the democrat wins. the middlings are being
overwhelmed with negative news on trump as a person, not his functioning
and not what he represents.
It's funny how cocky Democrats are about the downfall of Trump. Everyone was saying the exact same thing against Hillary. It's annoying how Dems prance around like they've got this in the bag.
That said, it will be another tight race. The addition of Kamala has energized Biden's campaign and even brought Biden-haters like me aboard. If not for Kamala (who I wasn't my top choice but still someone I would've gladly voted for), Biden would have nothing to drum up excitement other than the fact he's not Trump.
I think Trump is less popular with his own base now than he has been at any other point in his political career. His base doesn't seem so broad any more or as rabid. Maybe it's due to COVID-19 lessening the amount of crazy being reported. The mid-west or poorer states have realized nothing has changed since for them since Trump took office; that may cause faith in him to falter, unless Fox News is able to successfully spin the blame onto Democrats.
Prior to COVID-19, I was about 80-90 percent sure Trump would win. His disastrous handling of the epidemic coupled with his constant denial of how serious the epidemic would be has severely affected. His handling of epidemic is maybe the single biggest threat to his presidency, and now I'm not sure if Trump will win. Last year I predicted a Trump win; now, I don't.
But...there's still good ol' fashioned voter suppression. Trump's trying to lock down the Post Office and the Post Master General is in Trump's pocket. Republican voter-suppression is nothing to ignore. And you can bet Russia will interfere and Trump's camp will accept it; he's already been impeached for trying to get a foreign government to interfere against Biden, so any further accusations of colluding with Russia (or any other country) will just be waived away with "he's already been acquitted".
However, I think minorities will be more fired up to vote Trump out of office. Muslims have seen he's against them, Hispanics will probably have a grudge against him, and blacks have been outraged by Trump using force and secret police to attack peaceful protesters demonstrating against police brutality.
Conclusion: I would be shocked if Trump loses, but not necessarily surprised. It's in the same way I'm shocked at the jaw-dropping stupidity that comes out of his mouth, but not surprised by it anymore.
To me, this is too close to call; but I given to Biden by a sliver.
@vivify saidChina might get involved against Trump to neutralize Russia's influence but maybe not idk

The closer it gets to election day the more it looks to me like Trump will win... again.
edit: The big question on my mind, assuming Trump wins (again) is whether or not protests, riots and attacks against persons and property stops. Does it abate, does it stay the same, or get worse... I have no idea what the reaction might be.
I'm hoping a Trump victory forces leftwingers to reevaluate their strategy for regaining power. Sometimes intimidation tactics work and sometimes it backfires, and his time around I believe it will backfire big time.
Trump again.
The rich and powerful won’t let these radical leftists win and move towards communism.
Also...destroying cities and history will put the undecideds against the left and they will quietly vote for Trump.
Last but not least...if Biden wins nothing changes and 2024 goes back to the Republicans.
@earl-of-trumps saidUh... yeah it is. About trump and what he stands for and certainly about his functioning.

Jesus H. Christ dude, do you live your head up an arse or something?
Every bloody day for 4 years trump has done something which was either incompetent, illegal or just plain stupid.
It’s well documented, recorded and easily available to rewatch.
@no1marauder saidI humbly, as , ahem, chief poster, applaud everyone for these mature responses, please let us keep it that way, it truly is so COMFORTABLE, thankyou very much...(tho Sonhouse has not chimed in yet...oh, lord) Plenty of time,, about 65 days left, so enjoy measured comments and let us learn from each other . (Did I say that??)
I've seen nothing that suggests to me that Trump can do better than the 46.1% he got in 2016 (if he can even get that) and with no strong third party candidates this time around, he can't possibly win with that percentage.
