When a phone costs a thousand dollars and up, they control how much money is spent on that because now a phone is considered a necessity not a luxury.
They make it seem like you are a country hick if you don't have a smart phone.
You are so off base. So, if I create something in my garage that is a 'necessity', are you saying the government can control my distribution of the device? I dont think that's in the Constitution. What if I just burn my garage down and stop making this 'necessity' anymore? You sound like a socialist.

Have you ever heard of a concept called "democracy"?

Have you ever actually looked at the US Constitution?

In Article I, Section 8:

"The Congress shall have power .............................. To regulate commerce with foreign nations, and among the several states, and with the Indian tribes;"

So what? What does that have to do with your ridiculous claim that the US through the People's elected representatives can't regulate commerce?

It's a democratic republic and the People are the ultimate source of any legitimate government power.

" We the People of the United States," are the first words of the Constitution.

No argument, but you socialists think it is OK to punitively apply such power. I have 3 cars, so you could apply your logic to just.....Getting My 3rd Car. Or, all of them. Creepy stuff. Where does your socialism end? It doesn't. So, you are a socialist, which is what this is about. Castro was good at nationalizing all industry; you want to be Cuba, don't you...............

Not any more, Trump sees to that. Welcome to the new US banana republic with Trump as top banana.

You know, now that I am looking at your last sentence above, I think the phrase "Regulating Comerce" would take on one HELL of a new meaning when y'all take over. Lord, I can't imagine. Well, at least your friends and kids will get out of the street.

It's really a waste of time responding to someone as completely clueless as you.

Yes, big corporations are SO benign, they care about the common folk so much it would be a TRAVESTY to even THINK about regulating their behavior.

Interesting you would say that....that Trump would nationalize businesses. The socialist discussions here, by the socialists, are for .....what is it that y'all say above...are for a means of production owned by the government.

I interpret that to mean that the government owns production? That is what Castro did.....Trump wants government off of our backs, out of lives, as did Reagan before him. Trump then, does NOT want Banana Republic. Tiring stuff,, Sonhouse. Get with it.

Having said that, the whole point of winding people up into a frothing maddog mass of chaotic idiocy is to intimidate 'the masses'. But if Trump wins (and he will) then all bets are off... the mob is already w ...[text shortened]... gh this same predicament before. Is this one going to have to be handled the same way? I don't know about "reservations".
But I do remember, as a teenager in the 60's, seeing Al Capp cartoons where he depicts college students protesting, and carrying signs that said Students Wildly Indignant about Nearly Everything.
