If the situation were different though and say it was the United States acting as the Chinese are in say Puerto Rico, liberals (including the ones that post here) would be screeching and wailing and gnashing teeth that the whole world should boycott the Olympics in the US
I am glade you have seen sence at last SMSBear. THANK YOU

Even if Obama gets elected one of his foreign policy wonks stated last week that the US would keep 80,000 troops in the country for a while. I guess that wonk still has a job with the campaign, who knows.

edit: if I said here what I really wanted to say, it would earn me a ban😛
However, even though the ban loomed over my head like the Sword of Damocles (sp?) I was able to function in my everyday life despite great personal pain over the whole incident
Ok, I used up my supply of sarcasm for a bit, need to have some coffee and refuel

I mean, one thing that's absolutely clear here, you are no der schwarze Ritter. There may be some superficial overlap in terms of 'the political spectrum' etc. but while DSR on one hand is nothing more than a trite and malicious misery guts, you - on the other hand - say all these things that I don't agree with, but at the very least, they sound like beliefs and ideas rooted in a life lived, rather than just a desire to offend or show contempt.

Some are blatant hypocrites too, George Clooney for example. He is against American troops in Iraq, but he advocated sending American troops to Dafur ... where there are obviously strong and vital US interests.
Originally posted by mtthwExactly! Have we forgotten that the situation in Darfur is a genocide? There's no hypocracy in saying that we should not overthrow oppressive regimes (Iraq), but we should use military force to protect people from genocide (Darfur).
