"America is a Gun"
England is a cup of tea.
France, a wheel of ripened brie.
Greece, a short, squat olive tree.
America is a gun.
Brazil is football on the sand.
Argentina, Maradona’s hand.
Germany, an oompah band.
America is a gun.
Holland is a wooden shoe.
Hungary, a goulash stew.
Australia, a kangaroo.
America is a gun.
Japan is a thermal spring.
Scotland is a highland fling.
Oh, better to be anything
than America as a gun.

Someone has never been to the Netherlands and is pooping out puerile, simplistic, childish, lack wit, stereotypes that aren't even close.
Zero deep thinking and thus it appeals to suzi.
@suzianne saidWritten for the Twitterfolk who aren't the world's deep thinkers, but I get what he's trying to say.

(First, the conservative view -- Suzi)
They have no need of our help
So do not tell me
These haggard faces could belong to you or me
Should life have dealt a different hand
We need to see them for who they really are
Chancers and scroungers
Layabouts and loungers
With bombs up their sleeves
Cut-throats and thieves
They are not
Welcome here
We should make them
Go back to where they came from
They cannot
Share our food
Share our homes
Share our countries
Instead let us
Build a wall to keep them out
It is not okay to say
These are people just like us
A place should only belong to those who are born there
Do not be so stupid to think that
The world can be looked at another way
(Now read bottom to top for a liberal view)
(Here, cons, I know you're not the sharpest tools in the shed, so I'll help you out. -- Suzi)

(And for the hypocritical religious right, should we not be like Jesus, and treat these like we might wish to be treated, with love for our brothers, or will He turn away from us at Judgement and say to us what you say to them... "I never knew you"?)
@kewpie saidHe's a poet, with the humbleness to not weigh us down with wordiness, yet still get his point across. Yes, to the eclectic, it might come across as simple or even somewhat shallow, but it hits the point quickly, then gets out of the way. 🙂

@shavixmir saidNo I'm suggesting that puerile generalisations are exactly that, puerile generalisations.
Are you suggesting that Glaswegians know the Highland Fling?
suzi thinks it's poetry, and a lot of what suzi is can be deduced from that.
@shavixmir saidI comprehended 'Holland is a wooden shoe' just fine shag doody for brains, and noticed that it rhymed with 'stew'. So neither of those things were a problem, the problem is this 'ryhme', this 'prose', this 'poetry' is nearly too childish for Sesame St 5-8 year olds.
Oh. You mean you don’t like the poem.
Ah. Because it didn’t rhyme?
Or was the prose not to your comprehension?
It's a suzi post.
Enough said.
