It's not "American" debating, all countries with with far-right groups have similar debates.
The UK arguments for Brexit pushed by people like Farage are no different than what American right-wingers like Tucker Carlsen would say; Boris is basically Trump and would fit right in the Republican party. So would Liz Truss. Sunak is no different from Ramaswamy.
There is zero different between Wajoma, Rajk and any of the American right-wingers. So this is not an "American debating" issue, it's a matter of debating with right-wingers.
@vivify saidI agree. It is a very extreme-right, and not necessarily American, way of debating things.

Although, to be fair, extremists from most groups use that technique; but on this site they are basically Americans.
@vivify said"Guys, guys, guys, it's not Americans who are evil and dumb... I assure you, it's all conservatives that are evil and dumb..."

This is a lovely way to keep discussion going and show everyone that you are a humble, serious person.
@philokalia saidWho are the dumbest PMs the U.K. has ever had? Boris and Truss. Who are the dumbest U.S. Presidents? Bush and Trump.

See a connection?
Feel free to hate Americans all you want. My post about the debate style; anywhere right-wingers exist you'll see the same types of arguments. A debate between Shavixmir and Wajoma (who are not American) is the same as one between No1 and Metal Brain, who are.
@vivify saidI actually think you are completely wrong... and I am not even sure if it's actually appropriate to discuss this in terms of the dumbest Presidents/PMs since often times what makes a leader bad is not their poor mental acuity, but it is their lack of values, their lack of desire to analyze and look deeper, and being beholden to bad groups or causes.

I would say what Trump and Bush did wrong has to do with errors more rooted in their value judgments...
And that Biden is an exceptionally worse President in terms of capability and mental sharpness than either of them, though this is an impossible claim.
As to whomever is ruling that sceptered island in the sea, lol, idk...
Boris is plenty hated in part because he was an outsider who was incapable of delivering Brexit, right..?
Nigel Farage which is like... one of your arch conservatives or wahtever... he is a bright man, as judging by all the content I have seen with him.
YEah, IDK, you'll beat me in UK politics. I don't really know much about it.
@philokalia saidObviously.

Being old and senile like Biden is not the same as being dumb like Trump.
But that's getting away from the OP, which is about the debate styles. My point is that what's parodied by the OP exists virtually anywhere there's a debate between those who are right-wingers and those who are not. It isn't just with Americans.
See for example the debates between Kewpie and RajK. The substance is basically the same as what he described in the OP even though neither are American.
@philokalia saidYou do not know much about the UK at all if you think Boris was / is an outsider.

I agree that debating with far right types is a Herculean task regardless of where they come from, but I don’t think many countries have as large a % of their population that fit the descriptor of politicised far right.
The only interesting debate would be why this is the case.

it's maga debating
you don't debate maga, you show up to vote
@philokalia saidbold of you to presume you represent conservatives

What I see is a half-wit moron leftist guerilla that sees anyone who disagrees with him as "dumb"
And how come those dummies all beat your beloved leftists? you fookin' dummy
And where do you think Biden would fit in with Trump and Bush...
@earl-of-trumps saidWho's sitting in the oval office right now?
how come those dummies all beat your beloved leftists?
@kevcvs57 said"The Center" is an illusion.

90 years ago, every country in the West would be universally far right, and even many Communists would be thought of as bigots...
The "center," the "far right," these are just conventions.
@vivify saidThere's many great conservative debaters.
