@shavixmir saidNobody smells of holy water, everybody stinks to high heaven but only one smelly turd has decided to invade its neighbour and kill a shed load of them.
Yet everyone is pumping weapons into a vulcanic situation.
Nuance is out the window. You’re either with us or against us.
There’s an evil bad guy… and the rest smell of roses and holy water…
It is literally history repeating itself.
@no1marauder saidStop lying and stop being stupid you know damn well that the only reason Putins puppet didn’t sign was because Putin called him to the Kremlin and told him not to, the subsequent protests resulted in the pro Kremlin cabal killing 108 protestors and injuring many more before he flew back to his masters in the Kremlin to avoid the consequences of his actions.
Kev: This war began in 2014 when Ukraine tried to sign the road map for EU membership taking it further away from Putin’s sphere of influence.
Actually, the Ukraine tried not to sign such an agreement and their President was violently and illegally overthrown for having the temerity to not do what the West desired.

That you don't like those facts because they ruin the simplistic propaganda you have been spoon fed doesn't make them lies.
@kevcvs57 saidIt's not about whether it's moral to arm Ukraine it's about whether it's wise anger Russia by doing so. Does the morality of arming Ukraine outweigh the potential nuclear war this could to?
So your solution is to abandon Ukraine to the tender mercies of Putin.
I do not understand how else the west can deal with the situation other than give Ukraine the means to hang on to as much of their sovereign territory as possible. The US poured arms into Afghanistan in order to thwart the soviets in their attempt to take the place over, someone must have been arming th ...[text shortened]... land grab even if Ukraine does end up losing control of some of its sovereign territory in the east.
This is the issue.

That the overthrow of the Ukranian President was illegal and contrary to that country's Constitution is a fact, not a lie.
@shallow-blue saidThe "holding your breath until you turn blue" style of debate.
Your Putinist agitprop is too transparent.
@kevcvs57 said"That whole page was simply a constructed excuse for your president’s rape and murder campaign..."
That whole page was simply a constructed excuse for your president’s rape and murder campaign in the territory of its smaller non threatening neighbour.
Not one iota about Russias global aggressions in Syria, Georgia or Chechnya. It seems, according to your logic that the problem is smaller states uniting in defence against a demonstrably aggressive more powerful neighbour ...[text shortened]... s eastern flank.
Nuclear disarmament is a great idea but only if everyone including Russia disarms.
This mentally ill person says that Putin is my president. But I do not belong to Putin's legislation. And I even do not care about what Putin thinks.
@vivify saidThe real danger is in letting Putin get away with another aggression, if there is any danger in enabling a victim to defend itself then hey getting out of bed in the morning is dangerous.

Your logic (unless it’s rhetorical ) would allow Putin to invade anyone he wants for fear of ‘escalation’. People keep forgetting that Putin isn’t the only one with nukes.
It’s about time the west grew a pair and got angry enough to put that scumbag back in his box.

Putin invaded a sovereign country and is purposely targeting residential areas with WMDs and using torture and rape as weapons of war.
Those are the facts Mr Weasel

You see that @kevcvs57 uses a pseudonym and one is a criminal who publicly slanders another chess player, who publicly uses one's own name, on the chess platform RedHotPawn, making a wrong but serious accusation of me of being an "apologist of mass rape and murder".
And this chess platform RedHotPawn has no means to report or remove or block that criminal who systematically makes such personal insults and attacks. That platform tolerates such a kind of "free speech".
Moreover, that slanderer has intentionally gone off the rails of the discussion: what one says is absolutely out of the context and irrelevant to the discussion.

Where do you think you are?
This forum tolerates the my truth and your lies, and that’s how we like it duchess.
You’ve been a Putin apologist plus an anti Ukrainian and NATO troll since this war began.
You general message is that Putin has been forced into this criminal invasion by NATO and a collection of other actors. Excusing Putin for sole responsibility of the invasion he ordered and the crimes that are being committed daily by his armed forces including rape, execution and targeting of civilian areas with heavy weaponry the same as he has in Grozny and Syria is the crime being committed here and you are the criminal.
