God does not condone rapists or raping, but through His wisdom makes good things happen out of bad things, as His will dictates. Was that too collegiate for your elementary brain to analyze, Howard. God does not "allow" raping, but He gives us the choice to do evil and when we do, through His wisdom, something good usually comes out of it if we t ...[text shortened]... ring, and I don't need to read anything that has "fallacy" in its title....you are the moron.
Perhaps if you engaged your brain a bit more and educated yourself, you would not be such a moronic bigot.

I was reading the BBC website and stumbled upon this gem of a discussion:

Seemingly 25% of people in Britain think that women are at least partly to blame for being raped. Be it through their behaviour or their clothing.
So I was wondering what the opinions here are (since this is a reasonably internatio ...[text shortened]... apes?
6. Do you think that raping has a cultural element to it?
Please explain your answers.

Tell me, what do you propose happens to one who viciously rapes a two year-old female toddler and penetrates her vagina with his penis? What do propose to do with this "person"? Enlighten me, so I can call you a judgemental prick!!

Answer the question, cheesedick....are you at a loss for words on this question? Can't your "brain" fire off enough neurons to come up with an answer, or are your cerebral-synaptic clefts filled with "duh"?
Originally posted by chancremechanicBesides a punishment thing (acting in hind-sight), I'm more interested in how you would stop it happening in the first place.

Any constructive ideas?

If so, counselling, psychotherapy, and institutionalization, even for life if need be, can go a certain ways in preventing rapists from developing. But I think the internal rot of society, America and world-wide, is the culprit. Social ills: Hollyweird, violent gaming, bullying being accepted at school by dickless principals, imbecilic parents or no parents, moral decline (all prophesied in the Bible by the way). The only certain thing is we can prevent it from happening a second time by putting these people in jail for 25 years to life, minimal..no ifs, ands, or buts...period!

Rape has always happened amongst humans.
Many other creatures upon this earth rape.
If you suggest that you can't stop it from happening (the first time), aren't you then suggesting that rape is human nature?
Originally posted by shavixmirYes, rape is human nature to a degree as is all sin because human nature is to follow Satan, as we are all born sinners. The tough job is to do as I suggested above, What other creature (animal) knowingly uses power to supress another by use of forced sexual or sadistic/soddamistic [sic?] techniques, and has the free will to choose not to do such a terrible act?

Whilst in prison, they should be assessed by experts. If agreed to be serial rapists, then I think there is a case for chemical castration.
My point was that you were casting judgement having claimed not to judge people.

Unbelievable! Horrified at the implications.
Every guy who slept with a drunk girl would be in danger.
Perhaps he should breathalise her before they got down to it?
The next day, she could always claim she was drunk - who hasn't regretted something due to drink?
Come to think of it, I slept with a girl when I was drunk who I would not have gone anywhere near when sober. Did she rape me?
Originally posted by VargThis is what I'm talking about. Either person could claim they were drunk and therefore didn't consent. I'm sure we've all slept with people we wished we didn't because of alcohol.
