-Removed-The party could replace him, but they'd have to do it at the party convention where the great majority of delegates were elected on a pledge to support Biden.
So that's pretty unlikely.
I agree Biden running for a second term is a vanity project which increases Trump's chances though I still think the US voters are likely to reject him AGAIN.
@divegeester
The only one who would have a chance is Kamala and there are a lot of people not on her side.
One thing though, it is one thing to debate on stage and such but in the actual presidency, they are surrounded by experts in a number of different fields, like generals advising on military operations or Noble prize winners advising on finances and real doctors advising on medical issues and so forth.
Only an idiot like trump would think he can run the country without such help since Trump thinks he is the most intelligent person on the whole planet, so he would go 'I don't need no STINKING advisors'....
-Removed-It is very late in the day to be reading the expired sell-by date on Biden’s undercarriage. The Democrats have been dithering for eight years. They should have started grooming a young, dynamic, charismatic leader the day after the Electoral College trumped Hillary’s popular majority.
Why won't Biden step aside? Vanity, I suppose.
@divegeester
Biden is a good decision maker, he does have help with details and so did every other POTUS except Trump who ONLY wants yes men to pledge loyalty to him alone and FUUKK the constitution. That is the threat and SCOTUS just gave him the coup he now doesn't even have to pursue, it was done for him.
@divegeester
Powell? You mean 'people'? She is higher in the pols than anyone else on the democrat ticket besides Biden.
I thought she would lose her PAC money if she went on to be the candidate but maurador says no, she keeps the PAC money, I guess if Newsome was the one who was the candidate, HE would lose PAC money however.
But it is up to Biden to say he is in or not and so far he has reiterated he is staying in the race.
I just don't want the disaster that would surely fall on all of us if Trump won.
@moonbus saidAll she has to do is beat a historically unpopular ex-President, the only one in the history of modern polling to never reach 50% favorability. And do it in a political climate that favors Democrats as two years of elections have shown. https://www.nytimes.com/2023/09/26/us/politics/democrats-special-elections-biden.html
I agree, Biden is a sinking ship. If he should somehow get back into office, his VP will take over before the term ends. But I doubt Harris has the national pull to run on her own ticket.
@no1marauder saidI can hear her cackling now when she was locking up those black folks 😂
