@Mott-The-Hoople saidI somehow doubt a right wing campaign based on the premise that Kamala Harris is a "racist" will gain much traction.
I can hear her cackling now when she was locking up those black folks 😂
@no1marauder saidwho said anything about a campaign? black people know what she did to them...dems hope blacks are too dumb to see it

@Mott-The-Hoople saidI think blacks are smart enough to know that a District Attorney in an urban area is going to prosecute black criminals as well as white and members of other "races". I don't think they'll have a problem with that aspect of her long career in Executive Branch positions.

@no1marauder
yeah, how DARE she put criminals in jail, ESPECIALLY black criminals? She should ONLY be putting WHITE criminals in jail and letting all those poor misunderstood black criminals off with a slap on the wrist.
@sonhouse saidHarris' record as a prosecutor may have been somewhat of a problem running against other "liberal" Democrats in 2020 but I doubt it would be against Donald Trump.

A campaign saying she was "too tough" on criminals would probably help her.
@no1marauder saidWe both know that Trump does not enjoy the confidence of a majority of the electorate. Still, there is one further hurdle any Democrat candidate will have to clear: Nov 5th, if Trump loses, he will contest the result and try, again, to tip it, by hook or by crook.
All she has to do is beat a historically unpopular ex-President, the only one in the history of modern polling to never reach 50% favorability. And do it in a political climate that favors Democrats as two years of elections have shown. https://www.nytimes.com/2023/09/26/us/politics/democrats-special-elections-biden.html
@moonbus saidIf he couldn't do it in 2020 as an incumbent President with all the power that entails, I don't see how he'll be able to do it as a defeated candidate.
Well, there is one further hurdle any Democrat candidate will have to clear: Nov 5th, if Trump loses, he will contest the result and try, again, to tip it.
@divegeester Biden should immediately step down. If he doesn't, Trump will win. Biden's legacy will be one of shame; The president who put his ego before country and thereby ushered in an the age of dictatorship in the U.S. The good he achieved will be canceled and forgotten. As soon as he steps down, a primary period needs to be established where up to half a dozen willing candidates, including Harris, debate for at least 90 minutes. Polls would give the democratic organization a good idea of who is most popular. Do not discount someone like Joe Manchin from West Virginia. He is a centrist, quite right of many Democratic liberals and progressives. He could capture disaffected Republicans, the South, and centrist Democrats. I am a pragmatic liberal/progressive Democrat.
@Phranny saidYou must be joking; the Joe Manchin who blocked dozens of progressive measures when there was a Democratic majority in both Houses of Congress and then abandoned his seat anyway to an almost certain Republican victory?

The party would be split asunder if he was ever made the nominee.
@no1marauder saidI hope you’re right. But that does not mean he won’t try. 2020 was just a dry run. Engaging fake electors and allowing a phone call to “find votes” to be recorded was amateurish. His minions will be better prepared next time.

@no1marauder saidYou might be right. There are a number of southern states with Democrats for governor. If one could be found who is pro abortion rights, they would be a good pick even if they are not strong on gun control or the climate. We need to prevent Trump from winning and the Heritage Foundation's 2025 plan from being enacted. I wonder what Liz Cheney thinks.

-Removed-Nonsense? How about cruelty to an old grandfather who is failing big time? The family is running in circles, frankly, to keep him breathing for their benefits.
There has to be underlying motive. China wants Biden t be pres again. They have GOT to have him. This is why Hunter, their operative, is running all over trying to keep everything settled down.
Follow the money??
Biden is not 'putting his personal ambitions' anywhere,,,,his family is. His wife is a very bad person.
-Removed-We have some real deep doozies on the Forum. Biden back to the basement! Other people can run things. Lets get a lot of poeple to agree to run the govt for the next 4 years. Un-elected people!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Who is this Dive person? It is llike teh Romania guy, thinks they can tell us how to run things. Jesus. I would like to tell Romania guy to stop it with all but the bare necessity social programs, everyone be self- reliant. Sorry, I know that rubs you all the wrong way. Well, this diver person who wants people out in front of the president is no gem.
Read between Dive's lines. He is saying Biden is not up to the task. But, to VOTE for him!>!!?1/!?1?1/
