Good call Joe!

Just like the Viet Nam war before it, America is ending it's years long effort to impose it's values and culture on another country that simply doesn't care about winning.

For 2 decades, America has trained and equipped an Afghan army with some of the best equipment and facilities in the world, and just like the South Vietnamese army before it, they've done just enough fighting to deflect criticism. All through the Bush 43 years, while the right wingers were running around with their little "these colors don't run" bumper stickers on their pick up's, they wouldn't listen to those advising them of an ugly little truth:

Neither the Afghan army, nor it's people care if they live under the Taliban or not.

Yes - some fear reprisals for collaborating with the America military, but the vast majority simply don't give a hoot. It's time for America to stop pouring $$ into a losing cause, and get out. Our nation does not have the resources to police the planet.

I think the Russians would agree.

But we need to get some Afghans out, including those who helped the Allied forces.

We owe them.

Afghan interpreters are traitors to their own country. If they betrayed their own people they cannot be trusted by anybody. I would never trust an Afghan traitor.

They created a sitcom to paint these traitors in a positive light called "United States of AL" to get people to think of them as good people. That is because so many of those traitors are coming to this country they are concerned Americans will not trust them and think of them as possible terrorists.

Where is the sitcom with an Iraqi American? Not enough seeking asylum to make a sitcom about them? I would never trust an Afgan traitor. If their own people hate them why should we trust those turncoats?

Imagine Russia invades the USA and occupies the country and some Americans work for the Russians as interpreters. Would you think of them as traitors or not?

Afghan interpreters sold out their own people. They are traitors completely unworthy of trust. Let them stay in Afghanistan. If what they did was so honorable their people will throw them a big party. Maybe a blanket party.

If they come to the USA they should be castrated so they do not breed and pollute out gene pool with treacherous genes. Since Bill Gates and the Rockefellers want to reduce the world population they should start with them.

@mchill Just spray the poppy fields with herbicide and get out!!!

Increasing opium production was why the US went in. The Taliban suppressed production and that had to be stopped. The empire deals heroin. Oliver North was dealing heroin and that didn't stop Reagan from calling him a hero.

Herbicide is bad for the environment. I do not condone that.

No kidding?

As I said, there are fewer Americans there every day.

Edit: I said "less", I meant "fewer".

Because you're an idiot, as evidenced by your other posts on this site.

Good thing most Americans aren't as stupid as you. You always want everything both ways.

Reality isn't as clear cut as that. The Taliban is not the government of Afghanistan.

Despite your racist views.

They will be soon.
Remember when we were allies with the Taliban and were giving weapons to the Taliban to fight the USSR?
