Billionaires have threatened to leave California if they enact the "billionaire wealth tax".

The commenter below makes a great point about such threats:

His point: billionaires stifle competition and take away jobs rather than create them. If billionaires leave and take their businesses with them, small local businesses will pop up and flourish.

I rarely post content from internet commentators but I recommend this one.

Why would anyone want to start a business and create jobs when the govt will take a large portion of your money?

When all you have to do is create a business in another state.

Oh…that’s what they are doing.

You people are easily fooled by propaganda.

I love your Alice In Wonderland back to front thinking. I think (please correct me if im wrong) that you think there is no incentive to earn more money because you might have to pay more tax. correct?

The tax is on billionaires, not small or local businesses.

I click on YouTube because it's safe enough.

Those random Facebook and website links with no explanation whatsoever, is too risky to click on.

😂…don’t ever try to run a business

I’m saying don’t pay more in taxes if you don’t have to.

BTW…Florida loves people with your kind of thinking. It’s causing a boom in new business for them.

Taxes are an investment in that state. I say that if you're not interested in supporting the state you want to put your business in, not interested in paying your employees more, then, as a corporation, you can piss off and take your crappy corporation somewhere else where those citizens will be happy (presumably) to pay you welfare to come to their state. States basically paying extra welfare to the companies coming to their state are working their own systems backwards.

And we all know what great upstanding people live in Florida.

Be sure to bring enough meth for everybody!

They'll even let you borrow their kids for enough meth.

I admire your concise informative Post, not requiring us to look at the YouTube.
I will add to your observation that a major element of capitalism is that water seeks its own level. Businesses come, businesses go, but in the big picture growth has made our country the greatest in the world.. if the government had regulated all of that, that would not be the case. We would be more like Cuba.
A good post.
