Marchers going by people's houses isn't all that exceptional. That it was technically a private street is unusual, but not so much to justify the extreme actions the McCloskeys took (none of their neighbors felt the need to point guns at people).

We are limited in the amount of content that we have seen, definitely, and it is also completely true that the black conservative journalist is entirely outnumbered.

What's the likelihood that there was zero amount of interaction before this all unfolded?

Hempe went to the protest with a big knife, joined a large mob, probably engaged in other illegal activities, and when the first opportunity presented itself, he stabbed a black conservative journalist -- likely one that his group was involved in heckling and probably calling an Uncle Tom.

But it is certainly interesting how the Left is all about justifying the excessive use of force when it suits the narrative...

but even brandishing a legally owned gun when a mob of protesters walks by your house in the aftermath of days of rioting cannot posisbly be justified. Stabbing a guy that sarcastically puts his arm around you? Sure. Brandishing a weapon to defend your home? Nah.

Boy, you've created a lot of BS with nothing to support it but your own extreme ideological preferences. The video was recorded by people with Duncomb and there is nothing to indicate he was "completely outnumbered" when he put his hands on Hampe; in fact, the latter appears alone while Duncomb has a group with him.

- People were tipped off that the Black Rebel (Duncomb's nom de guerre) was there taking footage.
- People began stalking him.
- He decided to confront someone who was part of the group that had been stalking him.
- He's immediately stabbed.

“Hey buddy, why are you following us?” Duncomb says as he comes up from behind the man and wraps his arm around the man’s shoulder, the video shows.

The man then stabs Duncomb without saying a word, the video shows.

You're repeating Duncomb's version which is unsupported by the actual video he had made. Hampe is alone and in front of Duncomb.

Have you even bothered to look at the start of the video?

I do not think the video tells the whole story.

Ultimately, neither of us will change our positions on this, and we are both operating off of some hunch or bias in how we interpret what is available.
