The reason we have such a hard time communicating is because I'm not some disillusion nutcase conspiracy theorists who watches too much television.

" Slobodan Milosevic feared he was being poisoned just a day before he died in his cell, according to lawyer Zdenko Tomanovic."
He had complained of "strong drugs in his system only used for treating leprosy or tuberculosis" in a letter to Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
Mr Milosevic had, he said, been citing a medical report from 12 January.
Mr Milosevic had requested permission to travel to Moscow for medical treatment but the tribunal refused, fearing that he might not return to The Hague."

The post that was quoted here has been removedWe don't have to suppose anything. He was killed by the Taliban and the Taliban announced they found him via the Wikileaks documents. How do you suppose the Taliban magically knew there were Wikileaks documents on the guy they killed?
I could address the rest of your post (which is about me), but then that would allow your blatant attempt to deflect the attention away from the blood on Manning's hands. And that's only one example that we know about. How many don't we know about?
From your link:
Carr said that when his task force reviewed the Afghan war logs they found about 900 names of local nationals contained in the records. Many of those names were already of people who had died, and under cross-examination the witness said some could have been misspelled or mis-translated.
Yes, quite heroic of Manning to disclose to the entire world information about ninehundred local nationals who were risking their lives and the lives of their families to work with US forces. How many troopers were killed because hundreds of contacts were no longer giving us information about enemy activities, such as the location of roadside bombs? We'll never know because it's impossible know which attacks could have been otherwise prevented.
Unintended consequence? Maybe getting people killed wasn't his goal, but as an intelligence analyst he certainly had to know he was putting them at risk.

Well then bradley manning should be punished for that, (if it is true) but why would you want to deter future whistleblowers who may have information that you do need to know. should'nt each whistleblower be judged on the merits of the information they are releasing rather than just a blanket bad press for them all.
The post that was quoted here has been removedJust because I think Manning (who BTW, has a history of violence toward women) is a worthless POS doesn't mean I favor "US imperialism" More good than bad? Not even close.
I base my opinions on introspection and logical deduction, not the opinions of the masses. Hopefully that means if I grew up in the south in the 50's I would have been one of the non-racists.

I want to deter whistleblowers from whistleblowing the wrong way and illegally.
A well-informed enemy can cause loss of American life.
So can an uninformed American electorate who allow their military personnel to be used by a regime that is waging an imperialist war whilst telling it's people that they are merely defending them.
This is not just true of the U.S we should all give serious thought to how we allow our govts to treat our whistleblowers.

The post that was quoted here has been removedWhich prejudices of mine do you speak of? That you think my powers of introspection and logical deduction are "dubious" is the greatest validation I can receive that both are spot-on.
There is him punching that female Soldier in the face, and also him pulling a knife on his stepmother. Once isn't enough?
The post that was quoted here has been removedDuchess the problem is you're defining "a better understanding" as agreeing with you. You speak of logic and yet you're making feeble attempts to psychoanalyze someone you don't know on the internet.
Before you go around pointing fingers at others and calling them closed-minded, have you looked in the mirror? I have never once seen you budge an inch on any issue. How open-minded are you really?

Great. Make a thread about that.

Manning's leak got at least 1 person killed, and likely a lot more. Maybe his intent wasn't to get people killed, but as an intelligence analyst he had to know he was putting people at risk.
