Why didn't they go to the subway tunnels? Was that too easy?
Were they trying to prove how brave they were?

I thought they were scared. Why did people shelter in the House gallery as protesters try to break into the House Chamber at the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021? Look at the picture of that on this link.

They sure look scared to me.
Stop lying and stop being really stupid.
What imbecilic point do you imagine you are making?

Why didn't they try to escape using the subway system? Look at that picture from the NBC link I posted. Why are they laying down like opossums when there is a subway system they can escape the danger if it was so serious? Did they fear that subway system had danger waiting for them?

I'm not aware of anyone being afraid to go to the tunnels. When your given is wrong, everything after that is suspect.
If they were not afraid to use the subway system designed for escape why didn't they escape using it? I'll bet that subway system can access an underground nuclear bunker.

Why did they lay on the floor like they fainted the way opossums do? Was that all for theater? If not, why did they fear using the capitol building subway?

Because people were there to kill them.

Get a brain.

When the Capitol itself was breached, members of Congress and Vice President Mike Pence, among others, were also ushered to safety via subterranean passageways.

So the picture of opossum people was a propaganda farce. Right?

How do you possibly get through the day with all the false allegations and false conclusions you come to regarding them? Only Eladar is as wrong as you about literally everything.

The rioters breached the Capitol Building at 2:11. At 2:18, the Capitol Police sent this message to members of Congress and their staff:

"Capitol Staff: Due to a security threat inside the building, immediately: move inside your office or the nearest office. Take emergency equipment and visitors. Close, lock, and stay away from external doors and windows. If you are in a public space,
find a place to hide or seek cover.
Remain quiet and silence electronics. Once you are in a safe location, immediately check in with your [Office Emergency Contact].
No one will be permitted to enter or exit the building until directed by USCP.123"

https://www.rules.senate.gov/imo/media/doc/Jan%206%20HSGAC%20Rules%20Report.pdf p. 27

Obviously the police thought it was unwise for members of Congress and staff to use the hallways which had already been breached by rioters, Several Senators, including Mitt Romney, avoided rioters by mere seconds. https://www.newsweek.com/eugene-goodman-warned-mitt-romney-run-rioters-unseen-security-video-capitol-shows-1568411

So sorry, your idiotic conspiracy theory doesn't hold water; you've seen footage of violent rioters attacking police and smashing windows, why wouldn't civilians in the building have been afraid of them? And why wouldn't they follow the instructions of Capitol Police?

Hallways? What does a hallway have to do with the capitol building subway system?
Why didn't the capitol police tell them to evacuate using the subway system?

They allowed themselves to get trapped in a part of the building that had no subway access? How long did they ignore the protestors in order for such a ridiculously stupid thing like that to happen?

Also, how would you know they needed to access a hallway to get to the subway? Do you have any real evidence that was the case? Was the capitol building designed by incompetent people?

You have to go down elevators and then escalators to get to the subway area.

https://www.businessinsider.com/[WORD TOO LONG]

All of those areas could be accessed by violent rioters. No, there aren't poles like firemen use for members of Congress to slide down to get to the subway system (which was designed to give quick access to adjacent buildings where their offices are, not to flee from violent rioters).

Then they should have had advanced warning of what was going on outside, not that anybody couldn't see out the windows and see thousands of people. Were the capitol police incompetent?

Do you have an incompetence theory to explain this?

There have been thousands of people outside the Capitol before.

Never had they been incited by the President of the United States to break into it and disrupt the Constitutional functioning of the US Congress.

If not expecting such lunacy makes the Capitol Police "incompetent", then I guess they were.
