You are the racist idiot around here. Maybe its time to get back into your hole and hide your face. Here are some facts I gathered from witnesses, using a webscraping tool, on this case :

************************************

Yes his team did not have a tent

Yes it was raining but he remained in the tent after the rain stopped.

Yes he had been suspended previousl ...[text shortened]... in did not fall on the knife as the defense alleged.

********************************************
Thanks for this tidbit:

"The defense called a 17-year-old Memorial High School student to the stand. He said he did not want to be there and had only met with the defense lawyers for about two minutes. He was also interviewed by a detective after the stabbing. In that interview, he told police that his teammate, Eddie Parra, had called Anthony over to the tent. He said he saw them shake hands. Anthony sat down, and then the two talked."

"The next teenager to take the stand was 18-year-old Eddie Parra, the teen who knew Anthony and greeted him as he entered the Memorial tent. He said he wouldn't call Anthony a friend but "someone I knew."

"He testified that he didn't talk to Anthony for long but never asked him to leave. "

So one of the players on the Memorial team asked Anthony over, shook his hand, talked to him and never asked him to leave.

Kinda blows up the whole "Anthony was looking for a confrontation" theory, doesn't it?

where do we donate?
I'm sure the Republican National Committee will start a GoFundMe for him.

When did Austin Metcalf get promoted to the position of "tent police" with the authority to put his hands on others he regarded as "trespassers"?

He was warned not to touch Anthony (something he had no legal right to do) but decided to play big bully against the smaller kid. I've seen similar things many times; a bigger male pushing and/or shoving someone not as big a ...[text shortened]... imes they get away with it, but sometimes their force is met with force. That's what happened here.
You are a joke. He was not the aggressor. The witness's for the killer said he was wrong.

You are a racist joke.

@no1marauder

A black track coach and three other blacks testified against Anthony.

You're just terrified to go against a black person even when they are guilty.

You probably have an O.J. Simpson T shirt you wear on Sundays 🙄

Why do you stop short of what the witness said?

"The next teenager to take the stand was 18-year-old Eddie Parra, the teen who knew Anthony and greeted him as he entered the Memorial tent. He said he wouldn't call Anthony a friend but "someone I knew."

"You know you are the common denominator between Karmelo Anthony and Memorial?" the prosecutor asked.

"Yes, sir," he said.

"Did you think it was weird that Karmelo Anthony was in your tent?" the attorney asked.

"Yeah," Parra said.

He testified that he didn't talk to Anthony for long but never asked him to leave. He recalled Metcalf getting defensive over an outsider being in their tent. He said Metcalf was "always leading… always protecting us."

Parra said Anthony was provoking Metcalf. He recalled him saying something like, "Touch me. You're going to have to move me." He also saw Anthony put his hand in his bag"

you are a low life liar.

What's the lie, a**hole?

Everything I said was true according to the testimony; Parra asked Anthony over, shook his hand, talked to him for a few minutes and never asked him to leave.

Even Metcalf's own brother testified Austin pushed Anthony (who was seated) with the intent to get him out of the tent:

""His twin brother, Hunter Metcalf, was also at the meet and spoke to officers at the scene. He said that after his brother told Anthony he had to leave the tent because he didn't go to Memorial, the two "went back and forth and then Austin stood up and pushed the male to get him out of the tent," according to the arrest report."

The only idiot here is you.

You cannot stab someone for being pushed.

You cannot murder someone for being pushed.

He was rightfully convicted.

He and you are in need of some emotional control via a support group.

The more I read of the testimony, the more likely I'm thinking the appeal will be successful.

Outside of the Batson challenge where all Black jurors were struck for seemingly pretextual grounds and the improper "public safety" argument the prosecutor gave in closing, he apparently asked every single one of his teen witnesses (all from Metcalf's high school) whether it was "murder or self-defense". This is totally improper; such a decision is the jury's to make and non-expert witnesses are not allowed to give their opinions on ultimate, legal questions.

Texas is a conservative right wing State so maybe none of that matters, but by the law this trial seems to have been rife with prejudicial errors.
