Well he's one of the few allow to do that actually, all the rest have too much interest in not getting an argument with the US. It's not of respect but by fear of having the big US companies moving out to third world areas.

Well no, it's the poor who gave him 60% of the vote, but eh feel free to act the same way you did in Chile, Guatemala,... just send the CIA to kill the democratically elected president if you don't like it and install one of your dictator friends. Why is Shavez a hero in certain people's eyes in Europe and the US ?
Is it because he is an intelligent politician serving the interests of his people or is it because he is rabidly anti-American and shows this every time there is an opportunity ?

1) the wrongdoing of USA (among other superpowers) is a good enough reason to be happy for Venezuela and its people that a democraticaly elected president is managing to keep the rich assets of his own country for his own citizen.
Actually it is an historical moment in world history. If you aint convinced, have a look at what is currently happening in Congo.
The fact that it's Chavez or Michael Jackson is not important. The fact that one person refuses the world domination and modern colonisation of the G5 is the only thing that matters.
History is the only one who can judge about the seriousness and efficency of a politcal. Nobody knows if it will bring happiness to his people.
Just be happy for the people of Venezuela: for the first time since ages, they will be able to make money from the assets of their own country. The american companies will stop stealing it...for a while at least.

So you've seen the way the american media - which provide the info/images for the majority of tv network in the world - lie openly to make the world believe that Chavez is a terrorist trying to kill his own people.
So you have seen how the system there was corrupted and how it's caused by the high levels of powers in the USA.
And you're telling me that Chavez is bad because he isn't being nice to the US, who tried during the "coup" to get rid of him (to put it nicely) for no other political reason than keeping the venezuelzn money rushing into the american economy instead of the venezuelan one.

The fact that I criticise Shavez does not mean I support the American government or the CIA or the oil companies in their actions against him or their efforts to illegally remove him from office. On the contrary, they should refrain from such actions and respect the outcome of the elections.
