My went septic when i was 3, had to have it cut off, never missed having one. Female circumcision as carried out in many African cultures is another matter. Thats just sick and cannot be defended at all.
Female circumcision is something completely different. It's not cutting off a piece of loose skin. It's actually cutting away tissue which brings pleasure.
There are three degrees of it ranging from removing the labia majoris (outer lips) to removing all the labia and the clitoris.
The woman is then sewn up, so she has enough room to pee through.
This obviously leads to infections and everything.

It is safer to have it done at an earily age. I believe it is slightly more likely to cause medical complication when done later in life. I wish my parents had had me cut when i was born. It is also more aesthetic to be cut, no?
