I write to seek your urgent advice about how I can assist people who have been injured by the COVID-19 vaccinations. In this context I also request a face-to-face briefing with the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) and Department of Health officials to better understand the data around excess deaths and the process for lodging adverse reactions with the TGA.
Since the rollout of the vaccinations in early 2021, I have received thousands of letters, emails and messages on social media from people across Australia reporting adverse effects and injuries associated with the COVID-19 vaccinations. Their stories of suffering and distress are harrowing.
A health crisis is unfolding, and I am appalled that their desperate pleas for assistance from politicians, bureaucrats and medical practitioners are falling on deaf ears. Even worse, in many cases, their injuries are being routinely diminished or ignored. Many report they have3 logged their injury with the TGA but never heard back. A ‘lucky’ few have received a response from the TGA – a dispassionate, auto-generated letter which understandably exacerbates their distress.
I can no longer stand by and ask polite questions via ministerial correspondence. I haver a duty of care, indeed a moral obligation to provide these correspondents with genuine and helpful advice as to how they can access immediate support and appropriate treatment.
These people are not so called anti-vaxxers. They either willingly heeded government advice or were coerced into getting the vaccination due to mandates. Many are severely incapacitated – unable to work and unable to access treatment. Others are paying exorbitant medical costs (in the thousands of dollars) in a desperate attempt to restore their health.
I have attached 23 emails from the latest wave of correspondence for your urgent attention – each correspondent’s story is heartbreaking. Many have lost faith and trust in government and the medical system, made worse by social media platforms that have suppressed, censored, de-platformed and deliberately disrupted their ability to bring attention to their suffering. I am struck by some common themes amongst the correspondents: the majority are under 50 years of age, were previously fit and active, have lost not only their health but also their jobs, in some cases their homes. In many instances their suffering is due to their doctors and medical specialists being unable or unwilling to provide appropriate treatment either because they don’t know what to do or remain in fear of investigation and disciplinary action by AHPRA and the medical boards (including immediate suspension of their registration)
To continue vaccinations in the face of such unprecedented rates of injury, death and all-casue mortality, is unethical and demonstrates a reckless indifference for the harm Australians are reporting. In light of these dire safety signals, I urge you to heed calls from doctors around the country and the world to suspend all COVID-19 vaccinations until side effects are fully investigated and raw data is released for transparent analysis and review. Indeed, if there is any doubt about the safety of these vaccines, mandates relating to healthy children (who are at statistically nil risk of death from COVID-19) and pregnant women (where trial data on safety is still acknowledged as missing), must be stopped immediately.
As Australian government parliamentarians, it is imperative we work together on this issue in a spirit of trust and good faith and provide immediate assistance to the hundreds if not thousands of Australians suffering COVID-19 vaccine injuries.
In closing I reiterate my request for an urgent face-to-face briefing with the TGA and Department of Health officials and am aware that several other colleagues would also like to attend.
