Just because you cannot control something bad that is happening doesn't excuse not speaking up about it. Just informing others of corruption (for example) is enough to say you didn't condone it. Condoning something is worse than you think. That makes a person part of the problem.

Most of these diseases come from animals to humans. It really is the most likely situation.
The FBI is clearly trying to get ahead of the truth coming out. Absolute evidence it was genetically engineered is coming. Since they cannot prevent that they want to use it to demonize China and take attention away from the NIH funding the gain of function research in the Wuhan lab....if they can.

Did you forget about the part of the paper that said the theory has a low threshold of probability or words to that effect? Never underestimate what some people will do for money. It is foolish to rule it out when big money is involved. Besides, Bill Gates and the Rockefellers have openly said they want the world population to be reduced. Why would they have a problem with accomplishing that goal and profiting from it at the same time?

Absolute evidence it was from a lab is about to come out so the FBI is getting ahead of it so they don't look like idiots or what they are, cover up artists.
