Agreed that I should have said " One of the most cowardly........." but this oversight hardly justifies the sort of manic reply that you have posted. Perhaps the fact that you apparently live in a backward country like Romania helps to explain your uncouth conduct.
seems to me that you've stated things quite accurately and you are in rather good company.
here are some quotations from people who are fairly well-known in history who have said similar things:

"The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated."
Mahatma Gandhi, statesman and philosopher
"If you have men who will exclude any of God's creatures from the shelter of compassion and pity, you will have men who deal likewise with their fellow men."
Francis of Assisi, saint
"For as long as men massacre animals, they will kill each other. Indeed, he who sows the seed of murder and pain cannot reap joy and love."
Pythagoras, philosopher and mathematician
"Non-violence leads to the highest ethics, which is the goal of all evolution. Until we stop harming all other living beings, we are still savages."
Thomas Edison, inventor
"Until he extends the circle of his compassion to all living things, man will not himself find peace."
Albert Schweitzer, missionary and statesman, Nobel 1952
combine this with the rather obvious links between animal abuse and human abuse:

and you have a pretty good case for how important this issue should really be.

Refreshing to see someone with a bit of sense.
Originally posted by tojothis is the mentality that is the problem in our society, that animals are not important. such a shame.
So taping up a ducks beak is worse than, say, raping an 11-year-old girl in a supermarket toilet? Or how about breaking into a house, murdering the 4-year-old daughter, and gang-raping the servant? How about deliberately blowing up temples, killing innocent worshipers just because of thier faith?
These are all stories from this week, and I feel a bit more im ...[text shortened]... ck. Shame for the duck and all that, but get a grip and a clear perspective on this, please...😕
my mother volunteers at an animal sanctuary, sure you have no idea of the suffering of animals at the hands of people

I stand corrected. It was not your original post, but Narganuga's that got me. Remove the sentence about it being the worst thing a person can do, and i agree wholeheartedly. It was just the fact that he/she suggested there was no greater cruelty that wound me up.
There are people out there who will kick up a great fuss about a cat being beaten, but not bat ...[text shortened]... gnore or endure these types of things either, but I do feel we should prioritise.
