Problem with the pole is that it doesn’t really say anything.
Do I identify as ultra-left wing?
I don’t know what ultra means in this case.
In real life I am a socialist, very much ideologically attached to Marx’s dialectic materialism argument.
I don’t think that butcher shops or florists, etc. Should be privatized. I don’t think there’s anything inherently wrong with people being richer than others.
(I do believe in nationalization of utilities, banks, etc. And I do believe that borders should be taken down and everyone has a right to education, healthcare, housing, food and safety).
Is that the extreme left? Do I think revolutionary violence (outside of self-protection) is a constructive tool? No.
However, on this site, looking at many of the posters, I presume I am very much extreme left-wing.
So, do I pick from the pole what I think I am or what I am in comparison to others here?
Perhaps, before the pole, you should define what each choice represents? Then you’ll get a better feel for the political spectrum participating.
@old-indian saidIt’s noted that you left out your own “ Don’t care just white folks” option, which is somewhat amiss of you.
Pretty even so far.
The universe balances out.
@old-indian
So if I wanted every family to have a machine gun and an electric car, would that make me ultra-right, or ultra-left?
@old-indian saidWhat do any of those terms even mean?

@shavixmir
It’s just a general guide to see where people stand.
The definition of each one depends on each person.
