Then stop supporting Republicans who propose tax cuts while raising spending.
Say whaaaaat?
Republicans want to lower spending, not raise it.
Jebus.

Is there something about what's being presented on the news that is confusing to you? What Republicans do when they have power is they increase spending. By a lot. That is a fact.

In the most recent example, a Federal government run by a Republican president, a Republican senate and House, accelerated the increase in federal spending way above what it was the year prior under a Democrat president.

Maybe there was a recession? Nope. Great economy.
Maybe there was a war? Nope. We were ending a couple of them.
Maybe just the continuation of a trend? No. Deficits were on a downward trend.

No excuse. Republicans spend more money than Democrats.

What they say is different. Maybe that's what you're talking about?

The cause of debt to government is (or should be) irrelevant to political policy.

We all want to pay less to government. Whether that's taxes or loans, it doesn't matter.

Why is the idea of paying less because of education problematic, while the idea of paying less because you're a lazy wealthy heir to a mansion is capitalism?
Much of our trillions of government debt is money that we owe ourselves, in IOUs owed to our 'Social Security Retirement Trust Fund.'

Is it though?

When Republicans are in office, deficit spending goes up.

When Democrats are in office, deficit spending goes down.

Social security? It does not change.

Republicans claim to want to lower spending.

And when they get into power, they spend it all on subsidies to megacorporations and gazillionaires.

Never trust what a Republican says. Only trust what he does. And what he does is: give money to the rich.

Republicans and Democrats are just two sides of the same stinking coin, both
wings of the same bird. Spending goes up, the national debt rises, the citizenship
gets to keep less of its earned income while the government spends more money
it doesn't have.

Plus a well educated citizenry is key to national economic wealth and national security. America is so focused on misguided meritocracy. Many in the US believe if you are wealthy, your forbearers earned and thus deserve the wealth on through time. Social democracies in Europe and rising economies in Asia realize the importance of education to their national interests. They will surpass the ignorance and rising religious fanaticism of the the US

We can't let vital services go by like EPA, I imagine some folks hate the EPA but without them, companies would be again free to dump toxins wherever they want.
If we made major cuts to our military and that could have ramifications, we don't want to start another war because some enemy country challenges us.

SS and Medicare helps tens of millions of folks, w ...[text shortened]... ut our intel folks or FBI and the like, we do have real enemies out there.

So what would you cut?
Also, medicare and Social Security are paid for through wages while we work until we are ready to retire. They are not welfare. Workers are entitled to these two benefits because they paid for them.

I just pointed out a quantifiable, factual difference between the two.

"deficit spending" so raising taxes to reduce the deficit spending is good enough?
How about desiring less by spending less so the deficit can go down that way?
The only thing quantifiable factually in your argument is the democrats want to
take more money for the spending they are doing without fail. You seem to think
there is a difference between the two parties when they are both doing the
same thing in different ways, get spend, take spend, and they all get wealthy.

You can repeat whatever lies you want but wealthy people are in a higher income bracket and therefore pay taxes on more money. Furthermore because the tax system is graduated they pay a higher percentage of taxes on a higher number making the difference even greater. They also pay more for tuition. The fund the medicaid and welfare systems which take their money and give it to others.
Trump lies but so do you.
OH NO THEY GO NOT.....THEY ONLY
PAY TAXES IF THEY SELL THE STOCKS, NOT IF THEY GIVE 'EM AWAY

If you are going to split hairs, the questions should go along the lines of why should
the government become so large it takes a huge percentage of our income? What
role should the government not be taking that we can do for ourselves, because it
is healthier for us to do for ourselves? Why should the government determine what
pay someone is entitled to? Why should the g ...[text shortened]... g public sector growth? Why do some get charged for crimes and others
for doing worse things don't?
Yeah, if I had my mitts on a buncha',

I'd be under the jail by now.
