@AverageJoe1 saidWell, let's say the local sports association allowed an 8th grader to play in a high school competition for some reason.
Oh, really. You need to bail over to a SHouse post!
'None\' of them? High school starts with 9th Graders. The reasonable man doctrine would apply, that a smart 165 lb 8th grader would be QUITE welcome to the coach of the team, if he could somehow get that 8th grader in with his 9th graders!
Would it be proper for the President of the United States to issue an executive order banning the player?
@no1marauder saidAbsolutely,,,no question. EO can be quite broadly exercised.

You know the answer to that question, so I am afraid you are about to trap me with something. I am standing staunchly.!
@AverageJoe1 saidYou have some strange ideas about Presidential power NOW that you didn't have last year.

@no1marauder saidWhich issue?
You have some strange ideas about Presidential power NOW that you didn't have last year.
@AverageJoe1 saidI seem to remember every time President Biden issued an EO, you screaming "Dictator!".
Which issue?
Now you think the President can unilaterally decide who plays in a high school soccer game.
Not very ideologically consistent, are you?
@no1marauder saidcontrare', I have laughed and mocked the likes of Sonhouse who throw that moniker around all the time. Maybe you have me mixed up with him, god forbid.

Yes,the pres can decide who plays in a high school soccer game.
And, This has nothing to do with ideology. YOU, however, have a LOT to do with ideology.
@AverageJoe1 saidYou're confusing the President of the United States with the Fuhrer of Nazi Germany or Big Brother in 1984.

The Framers would be aghast at such an assertion.

@wildgrass saidThen explain this:
I know you've raised this point many times and you are correct.
Post world war ii cutting military spending was the right thing to do. Clinton also cut spending for the military.
This administration? Last I heard they were going to add $150 billion to Pentagon and thats despite the fact that the Pentagon knows that it has at least $100 billion overspent every year already.

@no1marauder saidI need a link?
I don't recall Eisenhower complaining during WWII that FDR was spending too much on military spending.
Do you have a link for that?
I thought it was common knowledge.
If Eisenhower complained so you think anyone would listen? FDR waged a war of choice on Germany. Why was he so determined to help the British Empire fight Germany? Is the USA part of the British Empire?
@Metal-Brain saidYou're ignorance of history is remarkable.

Eisenhower was Supreme Commander of the Allied Expeditionary Force and planned, among other things, D-Day. My request for a link was sarcasm; no Ike didn't have a problem with military spending during WW II.
National Germany declared war on the United States on December 11, 1941.https://www.nationalww2museum.org/war/articles/hitlers-declaration-war-united-states
@no1marauder saidYou are saying everything except that I was wrong. Look it up yourself. Eisenhower reduced debt more than any POTUS except Andrew Jackson.

FDR put us deep in debt over a war of choice to help the British Empire. The bombing of Pearl Harbor could have been prevented since US intelligence knew Japan was going to bomb PH.
Germany declared war because of the Tripartite Pact obligation. FDR let Pearl Harbor get bombed so they could enter into the war. All of it could have been prevented. Why did FDR put us deep in debt to help the British Empire fight a war we didn't have to get into?
@Mott-The-Hoople saidOh, so supposing that was true, that is the rationale to totally DESTROY some government agency, rather than say suing the perps in court or arresting the folks involved as child porn makers or whatever.
how old do you have to be to spot where $20,000 was spent to create a trans comic book?
NO FUUKING EXCUSE to use that crap as an excuse to actually kill a complete government office.

Germany declared war because of the Tripartite ...[text shortened]... . Why did FDR put us deep in debt to help the British Empire fight a war we didn't have to get into?
I refuse to waste much time on this ridiculous one. Pearl Harbor and the rest of the US armed forces in the Pacific were given a "war warning" alert by Washington on November 27 but mostly ignored it except for taking actions against sabotage. https://www.ibiblio.org/pha/pha/narrative/17.html
Hitler had no obligation to declare war on the US after Pearl Harbor; Japan never declared war on the USSR.
@no1marauder saidResorting to using the term conspiracy theory as a pejorative only makes you look desperate. You know I am right. WW1 was the same way. Both world wars were to help the British Empire fight Germany. The USA is part of the western empire just like France is. Vietnam was a French war of imperialism. Another war of choice by the USA.
Is there any wack job conspiracy you don't believe in?

France is part of the British Empire and the USA is too. After Napoleon was defeated the British Empire made France their puppet. Nobody defeats a country and lets it be independent. Common sense.
