@Cliff-Mashburn saidThat's what I mean. He spent months acting like a Republican, and then claims he voted with Democrats, and then cries when we lose?
He wasn't putting the Dem party down, he was pointing out where they were going wrong and warning them they were losing voters because of their woke liberal lunacy..
Too bad for them they didn't listen and doubled-down on stupid.
F him.
@spruce112358 saidF the centrists too.
I'm saying that exasperation over 'hypersensitivity' is growing and that centrist voters are more and more turned off by it. 😆
Also - if a teacher taught a lesson and some kid make a joke about it - that's the fault of the kid, not the teacher. So putting blame where it belongs is also something I think the Left is perceived as having trouble with.
@moonbus saidI just find it sad. Especially menthols.
@spruce112358
America is having a difficult time dealing with its past. I guess that is the lesson here. Does no one find it peculiar that Black people in America smoke cigarettes? I find it macabre.
@shavixmir saidBlack students thinking that telling the truth about the Civil War and the ravages of the cotton killing fields embarrasses them?
So, what you are saying is that the history of cotton making caused embarrasment in a class with students, because reactions in the classroom led to people making jokes about slavery and drawing conclusions to the current state affairs.
And I’m supposed to think what?
That slavery wasn’t bad?
That embarrassing students isn’t bad?
That people being embarrassed about th ...[text shortened]... rder humiliating the losers is a subject one should approach with a bit of tact. Wouldn’t you agree?
Why in the world should your race being victimized by people of another race embarrass you?
That is about the dumbest thing I've heard yet.
@no1marauder saidQuoted for truth.
For two, racism is defined as believing one race is superior to another. That's a belief uniquely held by those on the right in US politics.
@Suzianne saidIt’s not what I wrote.

So, say, I know that some of the kids in the class have prostitute mothers.
When talking about prostitution in a historical context, one should be tactful. Not because the subject is embarrassing, but projections and reactions can be.
@Suzianne saidYeah, that was a bit weird given all the rhetoric Maher had spouted. 😆

@shavixmir saidAnd how would you know this? 😆

@Cliff-Mashburn saidSue asked me to write an apology for her, she says of course you are right. Says she has gotten lost in all of her posting.

(At least they are not as long as those of Sonhoue)
@spruce112358 saidOk snowflake.
One of the reasons the Left lost the last election is support for some really stupid positions. For example, see below... 😆
Cotton is a plant. You are wearing this plant right now. Get over yourself. 😆

But I don't think the teacher in question was trying to embarrass anyone. I think they were trying to illustrate a point of history - in an advanced history class, btw. If you want to study something in depth, you may have to deal with certain feelings.

@Mott-The-Hoople said@marerider…
waiting for you to C&P the post that you claimed was racist
still waiting…you claimed racism…I want to see your proof
@spruce112358 saidYeah but then why vote trump?
Republican voters:
- don't want to look at trannies.
- want to hear people say nice things about straight white Christian males.
- think minorities milk the government for special advantages white people cannot get, and
- don't want any more brown, non-English speaking, lazy freeloaders to enter the country. 😆
Trump invited a trans female to mar a Lago and let's her use the women's restroom and the restroom is cleaned by immigrants.

I heard somebody say, "Pay for sex changes for prisoners"? 😆
