Idiot, are Ethiopians and Somalis the same in your mind? I know they're just blacks, but there is a difference between the two countries. Check out a map, numbnuts.

EDIT: "Ethiopia invades Somalia". You're right; nothing about foreign invaders there.
If you insist on dragging a discussion about Ethiopia and Somalia into a discussion about Germany in Poland or the U.S. in Iraq, you are taking the thread off of a very clearly defined topic.

And yes, everyone knows that Ethiopia and Somalia are different countries. Ethiopia could not have invaded Somalia otherwise. Numbnuts.

Admit it, you're an insecure man. That's what drives you. You have to build yourself up every chance you get. We can all see through your cocky extrior. Did you get beat up a lot as a child? Are you ugly or otherwise unappealing to women and not getitng any? If so, that's okay. You don't have to let it ruin your adult life too. There is professional help available. If you don't seek help, you will get worse. You will just push evertbody away. You will spend the rest of your life alone and you will be even more miserable as a person.

There is no solution. People have to WANT peace in order for it to happen. The entire country(s) has to stand up and say enough is enough. Change does not happen unless it is willed into existence.

You want to solve the long standing conflicts of the world? Wait until people are ready to stop fighting. Until then, you're outta luck
Ohhhh....so the people of Somalia have not had enough yet! Unitil then, we should keep out big noses out of it! Hmmmm...too bad the Nazi concentration camps were just a myth, or I could have brought that up as another example of a group that was not ready for peace. Us and our big noses!

I guess Canada is blazing the way on not interfering with the world killing. Somailia, Darfur, Iran, and North Korea thank you!

I'm sure the people of Somalia are overjoyed that their country is being invaded; who wouldn't be?

Is there ANY country in the world that you think the West shouldn't run? You know they already gave that a try.

I thought the idea of this form was to debate, not insult? Or is that what you resort to when you get owned?

Owned? All I've heard is a bunch of propaganda and fear from your clowns. This ain't Hannity and Colmes; you actually have to raise some logical points and you mental midgets ain't up to the task obviously.

I tried to debate the thread. You refused to stay on point. Believe it or not, the clowns on Hannity and Combs aren't any worse at staying on point than you are.

The point is you two (or are you two?) seem to think that the people of Somalia are happy to be invaded. I tried to point to some historical and recent examples of countries being invaded where the invader pretended that the people were glad to be "liberated" but the reality turned out to be far different. I'm sorry if this point flew over your head, but it wasn't exactly rocket science to figure it out.

Does putting forward an article to simulate debate mean "chucking poo"? 😞

So, my Canadian friend...let me ask you a question in a smaller context, since Canada is more of a follower vice a leader in world issues, let's say that your next door neighbor was beating the crap out of his wife. According to you, you don't call the cops until both of them want peace. And you sure as heck put your own nads on the line to go over to break it up, cuz the other neighbors may accuse you of taking sides. Is that how you would handle it?

A) I ain't Canadian;

B) The military of other countries aren't supposed to be cops;

C) Don't beat your "wife" - you'll go blind.

woah, settle down there pilgrim. Someone just asked what the solution was and I said there was no solution.

I just commented that unless people want peace, peace will not come. Look at the Israel/Palestine example. Peace has been offered to those 2 countries dozens of times but they won't take it.

Sometimes there are no solutions and you just do the best you can until the 2 sides are ready to give up.

And by the way, Canada is in Afganistan right now as the lead country so ease up.

come back into the shallow end of the pool there Dace boy. Let the cops deal with it. That's their job. They are trained for it. Why would you go messin in someone else affairs. The wife will leave the guy and it will resolve itself. Who are you, Superman?

Your solution is to bust into the neighbours home guns blazing, kill the husband, maybe shoot some of the kids by mistake, rip the house apart and then leave a big mess when you're gone. Sure, the husband is dead but are you better off?

Now you've got the dead husbands relatives all pissed off, trying to chase you down to kill you. You retreat back to your home, so they go after your relatives or anyone who knows you or lives near you. The dead husbands relatives and friends get pissed at the wife accusing her of aligning herself with a mass murderer so they go after her and kill her and some of her neighbours while they're at it.

So now you've got all the neighbours and all of their friends engaged in this giant conflict, you're trying to now save your own hide so you hire a bunch of security guys to go after the people trying to kill you. The security guards kill as many "enemies" as they can find and torture any prisoners they find to determine what the neighbours are planning on doing to you. They don't get any answers so they do terrible inhumane things. Word gets out about how bad the people you hired are treating people and pisses even more people off. Now things are really going bad and you wonder how the hell this could have happened when all you wanted to do was stop the abuse.

Just as your neighbours slip by your security guards and demolish your home with suicide drivers in station wagons, you realize, all you had to do was call the cops and let them handle it. It's the cops job to intervene and no one would have held you accountable for doing what any good citizen would have done in your place. As the front grill of the station wagon smashes into your head you realize that,

"Confronting violence with more violence only creates more violence."

I never thought that the Somali people liked being invaded. The last guy that thought a people would like being invaded was Rumsfeld and now he's jobhunting.

The last time I checked the US still had the majority of troops (20,000) vesus Canada's (6,000) troops in Afghanistan. I still appreciate the brave soldiers that Canada has sent in light of it's smaller Armed Forces. Used to jump into to Petawawa (probably messed up the spelling) and train with Canadian Airborne soldiers. I enjoyed working with the proffesional troops there.
