Yes, but there must currently be about a dozen active threads on the subject, so you're more likely to get a debate in these.

Do you believe that your ears hear, your eyes see, and your nose points the way to the outhouse? That's what "belief" in evolution is like. It's rather like believing that me half-empty water glass is half-full of water.

I believe evolution is banned from books in American schools. Is this true?

I believe it's not.

That's a bit unfair I mean people should be taught every point of view.

Yes, plenty of us do, the real question is if you disbelieve in evolution for a reason other than that your god/priest/rabbi/minister/grandmother/KellyJ said so. If you have some sort of logical or secular argument, argue about it here rather than Spirituality.

I think so. "Believe in" is often a loaded phrase so maybe not. Depends what "believe in" means precisely. I think evolution is the correct model for explaining the history of life.

What I dont understand, do creationists believe that the way that all life on earth is now was the way it was when God created the earth or that he created life and then life evolved as time passed. If the former, then how do they explain the quite clear evolution of lifeforms that we can see happening over a relatively short period of time (for example say bacteria which become immune to antibiotics)?

Creationists believe that gazelle exist merely to feed lions. They jump willingly into the lions open mouths.
