Are you going to link me to answersingenesis? If so please just get out. We don't want retards cluttering up the forums. Seriously, anyone witha half a brain can come up with theories that sound plausible to people with no understanding of science.
And you seem to refer to this forum as if you own it .
Being so scientific you should also know that you can not function with half a brain as you refer i have ,if that was the case i don't know how i will be playing rugby tomorrow ,it sounds to me that your not real scientific yourself.
Lucky for you that the spellcheckers are not out , cause i have not heard of a word called ( witha).

I'm sure that happens all the time. I play poker and just last YEAR I got 3 deuces and a pair of threes TWICE. So 860 million boolean values in a row seems very likely.
Anyone believe in evolution?
Originally posted by boarmanActually, it's you who are wrong here. I've made an extrapolation here, but based upon extensive discussions with many, many creationists in the spirituality forum, it seems that they throw all the tennents of evolutionary theory out, including the most important one, competition. Organisms are selfish, seeking to promote their own genes above those of any other organism. Creationists hold that God created the world specifically to be this way, with gazelles as a mere food source for lions. It's a part of their whole mind set, especially about humans being "something special". We're not.
What a load of crap.
Go and check out the creation website and see what they are about.
They can actually back up their theories that parts of the bible did exist, not like evolutionists that are still searching for that missing link.
I am not a creationist, and was taught from young about evolution, but as you research the subject of evolution you can ...[text shortened]... but people are going to believe what they want to believe ,no matter what evidence is presented.
Go away and read some good books on evolution, or alternatley go to the spirituality forum, read some of the threads there. There are many, one at the moment has over 1000 posts. By the time you've read a few of those threads, you'll know more than me about this subject, and the proofs for evolution.

A scientific theory is not "just an idea". It is the highest form of explanation! It is an idea that has been tested and retested hundreds of times, and never been shown to be wrong.

Yes. Schools should teach every point of view regardless of whether they are based on defensible epistemology or whether some Redneck pulled it out of his arse.
Originally posted by WulebgrYes, schools should teach all "sides", but it's the manner in which they are taught which is important. I feel it's important not to get confused between science and creationism, which is a main reason why ID / creationism shouldn't be taught in science classrooms. Creationism, along with tge beliefs of all the other world religions should be taught in a religious education classroom.

Originally posted by StarValleyWyExactly, evolutionary biology explains why this should be rather well. I can see no reason why anyone would expect this outcome from an omnipotent creator.

That's like saying 'believe in God?'
Evolution IS a belief system for if it were not the question of 'belief' would not come into the arena.
As many as can debate their believe in evolution, is as many prefessing their belief in God.
